What happened to all the trillions recovered?
So after the recovery, the Federal Govt. should fold its hands and drain the recovered monies first before seeking other means of funding other pressing needs..
Some persons need to reexamine their reasoning and ask why they still remain poor.

That's chicken feed compared to what industrialised nations borrow. The real issue is how govt spends the money. Nigeria can pay back hundred times that if we put the rights structure on ground

What you need to understand is that even if government has 20 Trillion naira, it will still float BONDs for people to buy. Major part of the reason is to cub inflation and regulate liquidity in the economy. Every countries of the world including the USA borrows from the public by selling bonds monthly. It doesnt matter whether a country is broke or not. The difference here is that when a country is broke and it sells bond to the public, the interest rates will be very high and vice-versa.

There is no month in the life of this country and others that governments will not sell bond. Do your findings

I understand the concerns of people asking why the government is borrowing after recovering and I think United4real has answered the question.

If you have been on nairaland for a while, since nairaland is a place where many young Nigerians get their news these days, you will know that the government borrows year in-year-out. It is a fiscal policy issue and a way to finance the budget. Already Kemi has elicudiated in one of her announcement that the government will borrow locally and internationally.

Knowledge like they say is relative. This news is exciting some people, because they get the chance to invest in government bonds which is considered to be risk free, whilst others are worried over increased government borrowings.

Thanks United4real for saving me the time to explain more on this

Re: FG To Borrow N395bn Via Bonds by walexy14(m): 2:22pm On Jun 30, 2016
FG bonds are bonds issued to meet specific needs of the federal government. For instance in 2006 about N75 billion was used for the settlement of pension arrears and payment of debt owed to local contractors and is another way of cubing inflation . So its normal for any country to borrow via Bonds and the billions recovered will be used to finance other project.
