I hate the rav4 because of its steering column issues, and abs issues.

I hate the CRV because it's not very sprinty on the road. I would rather not get any of them.

my views will differ, try and see and like one, every car will have its issues, just that some will be evil while others can be solved with good maintenance.

All cars has advantage n disadvantage. What matter is u go 4 cars wit more advantage but i will go 4 d honda crv

My brother, just choose one of them, maintain it well & it will serve you well. Honda usually has a cooler interior though & Toyota has better reliability.

i own the rav4 but v6 model and an earlier version of honda crv.

There are noises while driving at various speeds and there are 3 possible problems associated with this

The first is due to loose steering rack bolts but this is extremely rare.

The second issue is the intermediate shaft can be felt through the steering wheel and sometimes in the floor by your feet.

The third is the next common problem to the intermediate shaft. It occurs mostly at low speed just as you turn the wheel. It sounds like a creaking noise and can come from either side of the vehicle

Hyundai santa fe
Kia sportage
Hyundai ix35
Mitsubishi ASX or outlander
Nissan qashqi and qashi+
Ford ecosport
Nissan x-trail
Suzuki vitara
Nomad 5008 or zoyte (hehe) all in no particular order

The vehicles you picked before are OK, just that they are robber magnets but we have solutions to that problem, tracker and comprehensive insurance

It's common in camry Avalon and rav4. It has a very simple fix. I fixed mine myself. It just needs lubrication. There is a TSB on it.

@OP, WHAT DO you want from your car in the next two years in terms of performance and maintainance cost... Your two choice of cars are good flashy cars that are in vogue...

From the specs angle Rav4 beats Crv hands down... RAV4 comes with a six cylinder engine and around 160hp while crv has four cylinder engine with 130 hp... The difference is clear in speed and initial engine response time.. RAV4 has issues with its steering +maybe making sounds while crv is mocked for its constant noise in the front axle when car is being stirred...

The parts for Rav4 is available anywhere same with Crv but Crv parts are more expensive....

As per body I rate rav4 5/10 and crv 2/10.

As for me oh, I will not go for both cars you listed above, I prefer highlander anytime anyday.... It's higher above the ground than both Crv and rav4,.. Has less plastic on its body making it easy to be brought back to shape by any panel beater if these crazy lagos drivers scratch you....

You are wrong. the 2009 Crv has a 4cylinder engine which is rated at 166hp. the 2007-9 rav4 has both 4 and 6 cylinder engines.

I personally love the Crv though.

You are wrong. the 2009 Crv has a 4cylinder engine which is rated at 166hp. the 2007-9 rav4 has both 4 and 6 cylinder engines.

I personally love the Crv though.

The hp is still lower than that of RAV4, and 166hp is not the actual rating....

LET ME SCHOOL YOU A BIT..

after two years of using crv the air-conditioning system effectiveness reduces and you will spend your money servicing it not knowing the engine hp can't carry the Air-conditioning system anymore.... Read about Toyota sienna AC system issues...
