ISRO

Pic 1 development of recoverable spent launchers just like the ones developed by American spaceX

2nd electric propulsion for says

3rd semi cryogenic rocket engine

4th small satellite launch vehicle , this one is important for the military becz this will give the military the capability to launch satellites from anywhere as per requirements during wars .

Generally Space launchers require dedicated launch facilities.

ISRO

This reveals the configuration of the bus used to release 104 satellites in a single launch some years ago, which is a world record.

And any analyst worth his salt will find it interesting becz it shows the capability to design a MIRV bus which can theoretically launch more than hundred items.

Generally the heaviest ICBMs can launch 10 MIRVs with another 10-20 nos of decoys.

And maybe Ind.. has already deployed missiles with the around 3 MIRVs plus the decoys into operational service. wink

ISRO DMRJ dual mode scramjet engine which is a combination of ramjet and scramjet engine was tested successful few years ago.

It will be used in ISRO reusable spacecraft which will take off like a plane , go to space and descent back to Earth and land like a plane

ISRO communication and navigation satellite roadmap

Very interesting

They r looking for global navigation coverage for NAVIC which is indian analogue for American GPS.

Other interesting things r optical communication ( quantum based ? ) , space to space communication , agile-flexible satellites ( for what ? ) etc

ISRO had successfully on January 10, 2007 used Dual launch Adapter (DLA) to dispense four satellites.

The maneuvering final stage of a MIRV capable ICBM is called Post Boost Control System (PBCS) or ‘bus’, which carries both the MIRVs and guidance and control system.

ISRO PSLV C-7 has Trans stage Post Boost Control System (PBCS) which is equivalent to the US multiple launch technology.

The ISRO Trans stage Post Boost Control System (PBCS) can be adapted easily to deliver the MIRVs.

Or form the basis of a more advanced purpose built bus ie military purpose

Locally developed CUSAT ST-205 Radar which is specifically designed to scan the stratosphere.

Weather radars detect perturbations in wind and water content of the atmosphere using the same principle. The new radar named - CUSAT Stratosphere-Troposphere Radar (CUSAT ST-205 Radar)- throws 205 MHz radio waves to detect the atmospheric perturbations.

The CUSAT ST-radar scans the sky horizontally and vertically in small steps of 1 degree thus getting a three dimensional picture of the atmosphere. It is like a cone of 30 degrees moving across the skies. While scanning it throws a pulse of radiowaves of 200 to 205 MHz frequency at the atmosphere and waits for it to bounce back. However, the turbulence in air and humidity change the direction of some of the waves. Thus the returning waves are different from those shot at the atmosphere. The scan produces a spectrum of densities of air, from which it is possible to compute the actual winds. This gives scientists a pretty clear picture of what is going on there.

The radar facility has applications other than tracking monsoon and is attracting attention of researchers from all over. The European Space Agency had contacted for ST radar data for the validation of its new satellite to be launched next month. Similarly, the UK Met Office and University of Reading in England have proposed a joint research programme. An Indo-French programme to utilise the ST radar observations is in progress to study troposphere-stratosphere interactions.

Devil's advocate : what about the ability to carry out experiments relating to weather modifications grin

Copy paste from Ind... Presstitudes whom I don't trust

Ind/ia has received a joint submarine design and construction proposal from Russia.

The proposal, believed to have been discussed at the top level during the Sochi summit in May, offers an alternative to an upcoming $10 b P 75I tender for six new diesel electric submarines that the Navy requires. These are to be fitted with an Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) system that significantly increases their ability to stay underwater.

“The Russian side has offered a transfer of all intellectual property for the design and prototype construction. This will mean that there are also no limits to the number of submarines that can be built under the project...,” officials familiar with the details told ET.

Warning: trust in... Media at u r own risk

Chinese clone of su 33 the j 15 aircrafts have been grounded according to reports after numerous accidents.

They r now looking to replace them with another aircraft.

Our idea is that they will develop a redesigned j31 as the new carrier based fighter.
