The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, on Tuesday tactically refused to comment on the property allegedly acquired by the Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Tukur Buratai, in Dubai. The question about the propriety of Buratai, as a career public servant, to acquire property in foreign country has dominated public discussions in recent time, with the army chief claiming that he procured the asset through savings. Magu attended a workshop on corruption in Abuja on Tuesday, but was accosted while exiting the event venue by journalists, who sought to know what his agency was doing on Buratai’s case. we are just letting this regime polarize us in this country. especially those in the southern part. Magu that is always eager to shout about fighting corruption is suddenly avoiding the topic & they want us to believe that the fight against corruption is not selective... he once said that anyone invited by the EFCC cannot be innocent. those words will soon come back to hunt him. |

Brutai is a man I love so much with the way he dealt with Book Haram, but this corruption allegation has dented his image. If PMB is serious about the fight against corruption he should do the needful by relieving him of his position. If Dasuki is in jail for soiling his hand with illegal money same faith should befall Brutai |
