It's bad enough that they insist on playing in Kaduna where the ground isn't big enough; the pitch not good enough; the fans unruly and where the players keep falling ill.

He can't put together a team of people who can do simple things - pay coaches on time; release accurate information to the press.

The man is incompetent. The NFF under him has been a disgrace.

They had a great coach in Stephen Keshi who they did not appreciate, at all. Instead, even after he won a title they were talking nonsense about hiring a foreigner to act as technical advisor. How were they planning on paying a technical advisor when they couldn't pay Keshi on time? Why would any foreign coach or manager work for free? Why did Keshi even need a foreign technical advisor?

Then to compound their error, they fire Keshi and hire a known trouble maker in Oliseh who immediately ostracises Enyeama - one of Nigeria's most committed players and the best goal keeper that the country has ever produced.

If dis story is real, it means I can't put my hand for dis APC administration.

Nigeria have announced that Paul Le Guen has been appointed as the new technical advisor of the first team.
The former Lyon boss will work alongside Salisu Yusuf, who will take the title of 'chief coach', after the Nigerian Football Federation ratified his appointment.
"The Technical and Development Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation on Monday named Frenchman Paul Le Guen, 52, as the new Technical Adviser of the senior national team," an NFF statement read.
"He will be assisted by Nigerian Salisu Yusuf, who takes the role of Chief Coach. The appointments are subject to agreement of contract terms with the NFF Executive Committee."

Imama Amapakabo and Alloy Agu, who served as assistant and goalkeeping coach for the friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg in May, are to retain their places.
Le Guen, 52, led Cameroon to the World Cup finals in 2010 and had previously been linked with the full-time head coach role, following the departure of Sunday Oliseh in February.
Nigeria's first competitive game under the new leadership is their Africa Cup of Nations clash with Tanzania in September, although they are already out of contention for the finals in Gabon.
They resume World Cup qualifying against Zambia in October.

Nigera Football Federation has denied appointing the Frenchman, the association has come out to claim that his appointment was always subject to approval.

The Federation have come out to clarify the matter with this statememt. Insisting that the techinical commitee only made a reccomendation and that a final decision has not been reached.




Chairman of the NFF Media and Publicity Committee, Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande said in a statement.

The Nigeria Football Federation has opened up on the purported rejection by Frenchman, Paul Le Guen of the technical adviser’s job offered him by the football house on Monday. In a chat with an online publication Tuesday, Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Barrister Chris Green said the NFF would “look at the next door” if Le Guen refuses to accept their offer. On Monday night, the official website of the NFF reported that Le Guen had been named as the new Super Eagles helmsman by the technical and development committee of the football federation.

The deal was however subject to Le Guen agreeing contract terms with the NFF’s Executive Committee. On Tuesday, sections of the French media announced that Le Guen would not be taking up the offer to coach the Super Eagles because the NFF did not meet his terms. “The announcement made on Monday (by the NFF’s technical committee) was quite clear. Le Guen was offered the job subject to contract terms being agreed,” Green stated.

“We had to look at the best interest of the country before offering anyone the job (to manage the Super Eagles) and one of such conditions was that the new technical adviser would reside in Nigeria. “A situation where Nigeria will be the loser will never be accommodated by the NFF. “We want a coach who will not just take the Super Eagles to the next level but will develop Nigerian football as a whole and if he does not reside in Nigeria, it may not be feasible,” Green said.

“We will look at the next door if Le Guen decides not to accept the terms we offered him. “A lot of top coaches applied to coach Nigeria and even more (who did not officially apply) are desirous of coaching Nigeria. “The options are open and we want to assure Nigerians that we will contract a coach that will befit the status of one of the best national teams on the African continent.

“We are working assiduously to make Nigerians happy and will not relent till we achieve set objectives,” he said. Nigeria will face former African champions, Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia in their quest to qualify for the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.
