I was scammed 150k + paper work 50k old time stupid friend based in US..He wanted to help me...I sent him money he refused to help...telling me to send more money without doing nothing...He only enrolled me in one silly school in savannah...After sending transcript via DHL to the school..He refused to further the addmision for me...I wasted money nd time.....I could not believe someone in AMERICA can scam person in NIGERIA ...Until I was scammed...Idris adeshina is the guy name we use to be friend in ikorodu..When I was in laspotech..I trusted him..so painful some people can be so hrtless...

Last year 2015, two month after my Nysc, we were scammed by fraudster. My grandma received an internationally of which the person claimed to be one of our relatives. Amazingly, my grandma replied, are u baba gbolahan? The man said yes... Then I was curious to speak with him as well. Along the line, he called back again that he was bringing some goods he bought from UK with E500. Inside of me, I was very happy that yes! "Today na today" no knowing that this man is scamming us. He called the 3rd time that those goods would reach us in 2-3 hours time and we must tell his dad it. so we began to wait but nothing of such happen. He called again that he needed some money to run his work permit which would cost him 100k so my grandma replied him that she didn't even such amount. So we decided to help with the sum of 35k . Later on, he called me to convince her very well that I should not worry about d stress I was going through that soonest he's coming to picking me up, prepare my international passport nd visa so as to join him in UK. Moreso, I did all he asked me to do. I call again that the man coming with the goods is @ airport because he sent his number to me. I was curious to meet that person but nobody appeared. Some hours later, he called me again that the money is not enough to clarify the work permit and he needed to get a form again. so i quickly rushed to bank and single-handedly withdrew 35k and send it to the acc num he sent to us. Lastly, the man I was excepting to come didn't show up oo. The baba gbolahan asked me to send anoda 5k to the man. He told me that goods has been siezed by custom officials, so I didn't hesistate to send it, I waited and waited but nobody appeared. Then I began to reason, was i charmed or how?. But the annoying part was the money i sent to him which was the part of money saved during my Nysc. I cried and cried but that couldn't the situation. Please beware of people who claim be your relative from abroad...don't put their call or attempt to receive it.

Sorry bro, this kind of scam is old. I never believed, some people still fall victim for this. I knew about this scam in 2003, then they do disturb our Starcomms line back then. I trust my family, we do curse them. Only my aunt wanted to fall for it but God saved her.

My own happened far back 2007 during the reign of 21 inch lg flat trun TV or ultra slim TV. My papa gave me 38000 thousand naira to take buy the TV for port-harcourt now so I dress carry myself to aba main market thinking that I will get the TV less than #20000. As a sharp guy wey no one fool mugul I cum said mk I play wise. When I enter the shop they take me to there show room now so I see different size of lg TV . I cum decide to bargain for 42inch lg flat trun. Oga how much be this TV. He say I should give him #55000. Oga na #20000 dey my hand.he say make I mk #30000 thousand. I plead with him to accept #25000 thousand that is the last money that is with me,he decline .As am about to live and find another place he said OK that he has accepted that I should bring the #25000 .I was very happy for me to buy such TV for that amount. Now so they prepare receipt I sign sharply , I cum give them the money after about two minute after I give them the money the TV begin dey do off & on . oga wetin they do the TV wey they off, they say may na the panel. I say I no want to buy again mk them give me my money,na so the oga knock me for head say they done already prepare my receipt that he is not going to change the TV for me since it was the one I bargain for, I started pleading and crying for them. Later he called me and said how much do I have to add so that they can give another one, sir please I have extra #5000 with me he declined and said I show mk it #10000 to mk it #35000 I accepted and gave him extra #10000. They cum bring one old ancient sharp wey the back long like truck said mk I collect DAT ones. Oga I no fit carry this TV go house, OK forget ur moni and the tv if u nogo carry this shap . na so I start another round of cry. I have no choice than to carry the TV home. When I reach home na so my siblings and our neighbours start to laugh the hung back TV. When my daddy cum back he was so upset but I have to beg him that is the devil work. Since they I learnt my lesson.

I have been a victim of different scam activities buh d am gonna share is when a trusted friend (thou wiv not met bfor, jux online) called me on fone to help him wit som money to clear some goods at d airport. I had d money n offer to help. The guy was in Uk actually n he gave me another client (scammer) of his number to send d money to.

Naso i mumu go bank despite ma mom strong warning that dz is pure trick, i shun her advice n proceeded to pay, afta payment, i got a call they wr stuck somwhr n nided to call dt i shld send airtime has dey couldnt get in dt surrounding. I still mumu send mtn 3k, afta som mins dy called i should send another , naso i sorji say dz r scammers.

I called dt my uk friend buh he shunned me ehn, i cried within me bitterly. I told ma mom everytin dt has hapnd. I wish i had listened to her. I lost 18k in total to d daredevil scammers..

Since then... ifa see msgs or calls telling me i won so so so amount of money, i jux ignore d devil..

Twas a big lesson d hard way..

We ban them on a daily basis but they keep returning with new handles. We can only hope members will make proper findings about the person they are about to transact with while we rid the forum of scammers.

Simple no matter how juicy this things wanna be do not ever pay for anything online, send recharge cards or pay for anythin online as long as you are paying into someone account.
Tips to identify scammers

1. They always sound interesting and with sweet mouth
2.Never ever pay money to someone you havent seen or to org without office
3. When u see international call and he said guess who is talking !! Bullshit
4. Do not, i repeat do notsend recharge cards to nobody's phone on data or business
5. Always remember that even your blood cn scam you. (Mostly your blood outside the country, outside state anywhere)
6. Never ever tk be greedy.. Cos all ds guyz above are greedy(sorry guys) but all of ds things are greed
7. Alwys remember to pray always cos we have got some hypnotics out dre too

In summary, never been scammed only the grace of God though.. And also i grew up in Agege and trust me LOCAL Lo san OWO. Never ever fall for all this fraudsters abeg..

I saw a page on Facebook about hiring flashy Cars at a Cheaper rate. I Got interested and even one guy testified to it, and sent me pics of him and his gf at the back seat of a Ford Edge.. So I became convinced, and tried it out the first time, he sent me his bank details, I paid in 2k. Next day my ride(A Toyota camry 2012) came.., I was so happy. I looked forward to my next ride, this time around I wanted the Ford Edge. He said 8k, i transferred the money to his account and he promised the next day the driver will be with me...Next day came, I dressed up fine fine, waited at the bustop, no ride, he wasn't picking my call, then he later texted me that the ford edge had accident, blah blah story!! story!! So he apologized and rescheduled the appointment, this time around it was their system upgrade, that they need to upgrade their system. Then finally he stopped picking my calls and never acknowledged my text. So I decided to deal with him, I set him up. Got my female friend, who has a very salivating sexy voice, opened a fake facebook account and pretended to be one Rich Working-class single lady. I added him and we got chatting. Na so the Mugu fall. On his birthday, I promised him an Iphone 6 plus, He was so excited, Now started begging me he wants to see me. I now said ok. Also planned with my Soldiers, so when he came, we just grab am, harassed and humilated him on the street, he did Frog jumps on the main road. Then we escorted him to the bank, to withdraw my money. He gave me back my 8k cash..

You're the best! You really scammed him in all ramifications. He wouldn't forget your face in a hurry for life. Kudos!

My own happened at Oshodi many years ago, i thank God I acted wisely that day. As I was going to oshodi through that route from mile 2 to buy something. i saw grown up men gather themselves in different groups playing table tennis, even the table was not a standard table. I saw the first group they, they were arguing with a guy. After taking a few steps I saw another group also arguing among themselves, then one of them called me, i even looked around to makesure it was me they were calling. On reaching there one of them told me that "his opponent played the table tennis egg without bouncing on his side of the table while they were playing, that who will loose that point"? I looked around they were like 6 to 7 men there, I found it absurd and highly ridiculous that how can these grown up men know nothing about table tennis, I told them I'm a novice, that the only sport I know is football, so I don't know who won, they were so disappointed and shouted at me to leave.
If I had fallen for their gimmicks by picking one of them, the one that lost the bet with some guys there will threaten to beat me up, cos I made him loose a bet, so I must refund him. Cos I saw a guy trying to pay those guys on my way back.

Also undergoing d same torture,a man I know and met even his wife and children.
Sent him money to buy me a car while he was abroad.Na so stories start.Till he came back to Nigeria and even 5 months after it was so so stories.
Reported d case to d police and he managed to bribe every policeman involved and at a time the police told me he had absconded and that his surety also absconded and that d address thay all gave were fake.Wetin I see for police hand eee,I no fit talk am finish.
Presently in d federal high court in Abuja with him over d case after I saw d man on d road one day and jumped into his car from d window,lol,then called d IPO.IPO came and was talking jovially wt him like they were old classmates.
It's not an easy thing ooo,still in court wt him after several adjournments,U know hw "go slowly" our courts can be,10 kobo he never pay but always has money to pay lawyers and bribe policemen including d police lawyer who is supposed to be my own lawyer,lol.

My broda,I was also advised to go to d German embassy and report him since he doesn't live in Nigeria for d police to go after him but am still weighing my options and hoping God touches him,its not been easy oooo

Then in 1996 unilag,the rush to stay on campus made as a jambite though second semester made one stupid guy(a student and cultist) to play a fast one on me, he arrange for a school fake document that a room in boyz hostel (MAKAMA BIDA only Akokite knows this ) belongs to him and that he is willing to sell, but foolish me I was so excited I did not confirm how genuine his claim as per the room in the hostel was, I quickly paid him 5k as at then, only for me to arrange for carpenter to start work on this room when the real student that was allocated to this room show up.

Anyway, after I saw the bad guy later he apologies and promise to refund because I reported him to some big guys too on campus then, till I graduated it was story story. but we later became good friend and wanted to help me treat one jambite Bleep up that took away my babe that time, but I told him no need that I myself ave already close the babe chapter and I move on

He called the 3rd time that those goods would reach us in 2-3 hours time and we must tell his dad it. so we began to wait but nothing of such happen. He called again that he needed some money to run his work permit which would cost him 100k so my grandma replied him that she didn't even such amount. So we decided to help with the sum of 35k . Later on, he called me to convince her very well that I should not worry about d stress I was going through that soonest he's coming to picking me up, prepare my international passport nd visa so as to join him in UK. Moreso, I did all he asked me to do. I call again that the man coming with the goods is @ airport because he sent his number to me. I was curious to meet that person but nobody appeared. Some hours later, he called me again that the money is not enough to clarify the work permit and he needed to get a form again. so i quickly rushed to bank and single-handedly withdrew 35k and send it to the acc num he sent to us. Lastly, the man I was excepting to come didn't show up oo. The baba gbolahan asked me to send anoda 5k to the man. He told me that goods has been siezed by custom officials, so I didn't hesistate to send it, I waited and waited but nobody appeared. Then I began to reason, was i charmed or how?. But the annoying part was the money i sent to him which was the part of money saved during my Nysc. I cried and cried but that couldn't the situation. Please beware of people who claim be your relative from abroad...don't put their call or attempt to receive it.

If this had happened in 1985 when the only way you could reach relatives abroad is 1 Nitel landline in the whole of local govt, or writing a letter through NIPOST, I would have compensated you with the amount you lost and put bonus !!!! For heaven sake this happened in effing 2015 !!!!! Goooood lawwwwd! !! You have mobile phones, emails, skype, mobile IM messangers, video calls, VOIP etc !!!! Did you just say you did NYSC? Nooooooo...dont tell me you saw the four walls of a school. Please return all your school fees to your grandmother cos you have scammed her too !!!!

Getting scammed boils down to being greedy.I was scammed by someone who posted a car ad on OLX for a ridiculous amount saying they are auctioning cars seized by Customs.I was warned but did not heed the warning cos I was greedy.The guy asked me to pay 50k to his account to fuel the car,service the car and pay the driver and I did.
He stopped taking my calls after and then the number stopped connecting, then it dawned on me that I had been scammed.
Moral lesson:avoid greed.

Also undergoing d same torture,a man I know and met even his wife and children.
Sent him money to buy me a car while he was abroad.Na so stories start.Till he came back to Nigeria and even 5 months after it was so so stories.
Reported d case to d police and he managed to bribe every policeman involved and at a time the police told me he had absconded and that his surety also absconded and that d address thay all gave were fake.Wetin I see for police hand eee,I no fit talk am finish.
Presently in d federal high court in Abuja with him over d case after I saw d man on d road one day and jumped into his car from d window,lol,then called d IPO.IPO came and was talking jovially wt him like they were old classmates.
It's not an easy thing ooo,still in court wt him after several adjournments,U know hw "go slowly" our courts can be,10 kobo he never pay but always has money to pay lawyers and bribe policemen including d police lawyer who is supposed to be my own lawyer,lol.
