Maybe you gotta try it out and compare. Outside the test result, it's way faster than there Hspa+ in practical terms.

One thing MTN will use as edge is their coverage. Our own ntel is still a long way off in coverage. Av bn seeing the mtn 4g signal on my fone anytime I scan for available network. Hope they are affordable to.

MTN Lte speedtest in Abuja.

Lol. Is this what u call LTE? I get this speed all the time with my Mtn 3g. Though I noticed the speed has reduced since the reduction of data price but i still get up to 10mbps.

Look at the so called LTE upload speed, just 0.53mbps, wtf. This one will take forever to upload pics , this one will take forever to upload pictures to nairaland not to talk of uploading a video on YouTube.

Alright that speed is the normal 3.75G... Until you show screenshots with above 42.2 MBs then I will believe its LTE..

Mtn practically throttled down the speed of their hspa+. This speed u are getting is not even up to mtn's hspa+ 2 months ago. I use to get steady 18mbps on MTN, now that they want to launch LTE they have throttled down the speed to about 4-8 mbps. Who are they deceiving?

42.2?? Impossicant. No network can actually achieve that theoretical speed in reality.

Your response time shows its a 3G network you're using.

Not necessarily. It could be the speed test server that has slow response. Some speed test servers, especially here in Nigeria, have slow response, so even if you test a 5G network on them, the pings would still be way up there.

Anyone who has used ntel lte would be disappointed in those mtn speed test results you posted.

By the way, did you have to get an lte sim before you could connect to the lte network, or are you an mtn staff?

Op are u sure this is 4g. bit(b, small letter) is not the same as byte( B, big letter) ooh. 1 byte = 8 bits, so that speed test showing 15.1Mb/s is 15.1/8 = 1.9MB/s. The upload speed which is 0.53Mb/s is 66.2kB/s.
