Posing wit outdated WW 2 jets. Wat a shame.

Shame? We are a developing nation. Sure, it'd be nice if we had modern warfare but how can it be a shame when we don't manufacture nada. No shame dia abeg.

You arm for your area of concern and likely targets. Nigeria uses J10 aircraft for air to air interceptions, Alpha and F7 for ground attack, Helicopter gunships for ground troop support and the ATR42 for surveillance. This isn't cutting edge but it's good enough for local threats and the West African framework.

The Jet you showed is used by countries with a peer group that use SU34/35 F16, F35, Saab, Tornado and higher echelon MiG series. Within Nigeria's constellation the best jets are the SU34 and the J10 is sufficient match as both are 4th generation aircraft.

So while we always want more, Nigeria has sufficient firepower to address threats in the NE and the ND.
