Sorry to interfere, i'm havin a chinco N95 clone
upon connection it asks me to choose one of: Mass storage, COM port & Webcam
I tried the COM option before and windows had to update to find a driver amd that was all
I don't have any interface to further any connection details
could you help?

wel i dnt use a china fone but if u say windows updated d driver den try to create a new connection using d network wizzard it wil get to a point where it trells u to select modem to use if its among d list den all u hv to do is configure d settings for d network u want to use

Those chinkos are retards. Forget about browsing with it cos no internet modem is built into them. Besides china generally are not good at software engineering that is why you will find virtually no software interface for those stupid devices. By the way, i have a china phone and use it to listen to radio and watch tv. That is all they are good for. Unlike their western manufacturer, they just build products without no support. The only concession i have for them is that they make fancy phones readily available to people who cannot afford the real phones. Do a google search and i guarantee you will not find any usable results.

funny enough, that n95 nokia is very very deceptive. i personally do internet configuration 4 plp. over 2 years now, i have not seen a phone as the one we try reach that one. but u can use a network wizard. go to network places, click on view network connection on ur left hand side, then click on create a new connection, just follow it manually like that.
on the other hand, i think u can get a seconded fone. original nokia work properly 4 this thing. prices cud range btw 7k-10k. i connect the MTN and ZAIN paid for individuals.

Well,

Data connectivity depends on whether the phone in question is modem enabled. All you need in both Chinese and branded phones is bluetooth and a dongle. Then when searching for modem, enable your bluetooth and install phone as bluetooth modem. This will work within a 10Metre radius.

As nairobi just said bluetooth connection is more preferable. Cos pc suite is no longer necessary.
