Why does Nigeria so much believe in old men?Am not saying its bad for an old man to take some notable positions in the country as "with age comes wisdom'.But our own is too much, why too much old men??its not as if the younger generation does not have anything to offer

Why won't a granpa be the Chairman when what we the youths do daily is to sleep on social media, insulting our leaders. How many youth now are thinking of upgading their qualifications?we want to be wealthy overnight without doing anything.
Re: Profile Of Olabiyi Durojaiye: NCC Chairman by yre231(m): 2:28pm On Aug 03, 2016
That's what you get when the youth are too currupt to hold public offices
remexy:
Pls why will chairman of NCC be an 83 year old man? Are we so positive that no one younger is qualified? When he was in his prime Niger was the norm. And now he is a chairman of communications corporation for the country.

Re: Profile Of Olabiyi Durojaiye: NCC Chairman by Nobody: 2:36pm On Aug 03, 2016
Its pay back time, this was the same issue we discussed in public enterprise back then in school. hypothetically this man is just there to serve the mandatory quota system, because qualification wise papa has no business with communication business, maybe legal yeah but definitely not communicating and this kind of appointment over the years has caused epileptic development in public enterprises rather the chief executive is forced to answer to the whims and caprices of the BOD cos they can hire and fire
Re: Profile Of Olabiyi Durojaiye: NCC Chairman by toojah4u(m): 2:38pm On Aug 03, 2016
anybody supporting/justifying this 80 years old man appointment either as part time or full time while there are millions of more qualified younger ones need to total deliverance

He will serve as the chairman of the board and not as the chief executive. The chairman is a part time position and he does not participate in the day to day running of the organization. The Vice chairman is the chief executive and the accounting officer of the commission and he is responsible for the day to day running of the commission.

At age 82 or so, Jonathan appointed Christopher Kolade as chief executive of sure-p and nobody complained about his age. Senator Durojaye is not too old for a part time board chairmanship position.
So Jonathan is the reference point!! Sure P was an interventionist agency, while NCC is an agency that regulates an industry with the potential of contributing higher percentage of GDP. A pity,

Please where is the hope of the Youths? What kind of calendar are we using that has withheld the tomorrow from coming?
In school, we were told told that we are the leaders of tomorrow.
I think one of the problems of Africa's uderachievement can be traced to low productivity due to old age. In personal business, a man of 75 ought to have resigned and every activities handed over to his children. Why can't such be applicable in our political world. I weep, I weep

Tomorrow.
It is important to stop calling youth leaders of tomorrow because there is always a tomorrow after tomorrow so if that is what the youth are waiting for, - then they just might never get to be leaders.

Youth should try to be leaders of Today.

Gowon, Nzeogu, Ojukwu etc were leaders in their early 30s so what are the youth waiting for, excuses.

Is gradually appearing that people sorrounding the pmb govt are fantastically preparing his failure. The more pple complain of his lopsided appointment the next one would be same. Now youth are complaining of neglect in this very govt; only for the next appointment to be one 83 yrs cabal. Infact......
