pastor Adeboye said 1hr not 2. The point is that prayer of a woman help runs the home better. In times of situation, she can easily gear up.
As for the beard, some things are happening underneath which is not in the open, I think he is using a preventive method not a corrective method. Imagine the case of ethnicity been brought in, no ONE has praised him for that....Under G things are happening!

Praying the right prayer for a minute MIGHT be better than praying an unnecessary prayer for 1 or 2hrs.

I feel Pastor Adeboye's comment is debatable, controversial, complicated, the reason for the numerous reactions and I believe he should have known better.

I never believed a pastor can go against Pastor Adeboye's statement. So wrong of the pastor. God help us. Nowadays one needs to be very careful of where he or she worships.

This says it all, plus idk if it was just me but it also sounded like he was condemning christian/muslim interreligious marriages, cause quite a lot muslim men grow a beard, and muslim women certainly do not pray for an hour. Not saying for certain thats what he means, but its arguable don't you agree?

In as much as I am a Christian by religion. The truth needs be told. Churches of this generation are profit making and yet the profit are not even used to do the work of God, help the needy and less average. Even my church is not left out. Only God can redirect Christianity back on track because it is really falling apart.

Why are facts always gotten wrongly?? Did Pst Adeboye say a woman should be able to pray 2hrs non stop? lets be specific and truthful in arguing a matter. Besides the man of God is talking to his members so why is there so much hullabaloo? It is good advice and I must say a man should also know how to tarry long in prayer. With the evil in this generation that is getting worse who doesn't need this kind of advice.

You can't be sure of that. Only Mrs. Folayan can answer that. Besides, I believe not all the grooms being joined together with their brides at RCCG are gainfully employed.

I really wish Nigerian Christians would regain lost consciousness and know what they've been able to put themselves into, these past days (since Papa made his declarations) and probably ask for forgiveness.
If you don't like his declarations why not keep it to yourself than come out to say things that Angels would dare not see.
A lot of Nigerian Christians has brought shame on the name of Christ and the power in the authenticity of the Holy Spirit (do you know how long he fasted to get those words for his flock?).
Why won't a WIFE, a MOTHER know how to cook? (prayers notwithstanding
). Who will do the cooking? The maids right? (A round of applause). Imagine your survival chances as a child without a COOKING mom (I mean a COOKING mom). SMH.
A pastor's wife can't pray for 2hrs and its funny (lol), there's nothing funny except alarming about that fact, ofcourse its his duty to praise his wonderful wife (who wouldn't?).
I don't get involved when it comes to Pastors and their issues (I really wanna grow old graciously), I'd advice you do same.
Be very careful, you don't sin against the Holy Spirit and go scot free. I pity this generation of careless great men & women.
