Today, we received news that a Nigerian was arrested in Saudi Arabia for being in possession of kolanut. In Saudi law, anyone caught with narcotic drugs will face the death penalty. On that note, I will outline some even crazier laws. 

1. It's illegal for women to drive In Saudi Arabia. 
Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world where it is illegal for any woman to drive a car. This particular law is quite infamous as it has sparked a lot of criticism from notorious feminists world over. 

2. You Can't Buy Drinks For More Than Three People 
For obvious reasons, some Nigerians have been praying for this law. In Nyala, Nevada, you can’t order drinks for more than three people other than yourself. In other words, if you offer to buy drinks for your entire squad in Nevada, there’s a 100 percent chance someone will glare and say, “You’re not from around here, are you?”. I think I know what prompted this law in the first place.

3. Dubai 
In Dubai, taking photographs of people and buildings of political and military importance is illegal. You can't have secks outside marriage. You will end up in jail for up to six years or more. Engagement is not an excuse. You will be reported by concerned neighbors. Take note. 

4. Oral secks/sodomy is not allowed in these states 
Sodomy is illegal, in general, in Idaho, Utah, Michigan, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. MouthAction is often considered sodomy by many states, according to the Hebrew Bible.

5. You Can't Wear Trousers In France 
That was the law until 2013. In 1799, a Paris law made it illegal for women to wear pants in public without special approval from the police. It was once amended in 1892 to allow women to sport trousers while riding horses and again in 1909 to permit the ladies to wear pants while on bicycles.

6. When nature calls, Scotland is the place to be. Simply knock on the first door you see. Local law obliges citizens to allow whoever knocks on their door to use their toilet.

Yes o. If that guy or babe promised to marry you and then later refused to fulfill that promise, the court is there to give you a remedy. According to the case of Ezeanah v. Atta (2004) 7 NWLR (Pt. 873), an individual can sue his/her former partner for breach of promise to marry. 

8. You Are Not Allowed To Paint Your car "Army Green" 
This Act "Army Colour (Prohibition of Use) Act" provides that It is illegal to paint a private car in the colour known colloquially as ‘army green’. 

9. You need a television license to purchase a TV In South Africa.
Lol. I am not lying. You can google it. 

10. You can get married when you are a day old in Nigeria and it's legal. The constitution provides that the age for marriage is 18(adult) and also provides in a different section that once you marry, you are an adult(18). Smh

We still have some crazy laws in Nigeria. For eg, in Zamfara state in accordance with the sharia law, thieves are amputated and the other law that you cannot allege rape after a period of time but that's for another day.
