Music has been part of the world for as long as man can remember and during the ages it has been used for so many purposes, for rendering praises to God, war songs, Entertainment, solidarity chants, anthems, used to induce peace, peace songs, used for hypnosis and so many other purposes which I might not be able to mention right now due to memory issues.
what exactly is music?, a question many have tried to answer but have totally failed due to ignorance or excess knowledge on the matter, when you get to school, many definitions will be given by people who have thought themselves worthy of giving it a definition. In the on-set it was been generated using instruments, then little chants were made on the rhythm to give the listener something to feel, either to control emotions, moods of the person.

Today music has evolved and people keep holding on to useless ancient definitions that don't apply to this present world, music evolved from just a single rhythm to jazz, pop, hiphop, country, Rnb, Funk, Metal, Rock, Blues and many of this music types had not been initially adopted due to origin, but today it is fully recognized and specialized by many.

My point in this article is that music has always been in our world all this year's because it is need in all ramifications of our life, if you want there is music to control your mind, E.g music like hiphop, metal shouldn't be heard when angry because it makes your anger increase, promotes violence and other despicable attitudes, music like country music should be taken away from those with depression issues because it might make you tend towards the edge, suicidal. Others like blues, Rnb promote sexual pleasures and other erotic practices, Funk and the rest have their effects in every one depending on the mood.
Hiphop has a lot of good sides as it helps promote, entrepreneurial activities and money making thinking also helps with many advanced lyrics as it tends to enlighten people on the present but neglected due to the negatives, forgetting out of every thing nonsense, there is sense and all sense can't be made without nonsense.
The more civilized humans get the more types of music you see, now dancehall is included in music, meanwhile those of the early 19th century would have disagreed with you on that, even hiphop was also not adopted in the early 70's so every thing takes time. Therefore music can't still be defined with those old definitions because it has evolved and should simply be called magic.
