Presidency Denies Meeting With Editors And Handing Them Brown Envelope by broseme: 1:07pm On Sep 08, 2016
The Presidency has debunked reports that President Muhammadu Buhari will on Friday, September 9 meet with Newspaper editors at Presidential Villa, Abuja. The spokesperson to the president on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu on Thursday revealed that no meeting has been scheduled; rather the editors have been called together by the Media Office of the presidency.Below is what he said....

"There is no meeting for the Nigerian President with editors on Friday. It is a security briefing. The upcoming meeting at 2pmĀ on Friday, September 9 with editors was called by the Media Office of the Presidency to offer the media a confidential, off-the-record briefing by the intelligence community on matters of the economy and security.

The letter of invitation did not say anything about transportation and accommodation because none has been arranged. Tea and coffee will however be served at the meeting, to last no more than two hours".

Nice, swift and smart response.

You can bet that the wagging tongues will not stop flicking, even as their hopes of catching Buhari in a bribery scandal have been quashed.

Which editor will come for meeting called by PA to PMB on media without the government footing the bill for accommodation and transportation? Even journalists are not smiling these days. It is now difficult to suppress the truth because anybody with facebook and twitter account is a journalist.

PDP and its hunger ridden footmen should not mistake lying to mean opposition. . . Lying only go as far as your limited brain permits

The dullard wants to bribe editors and he is shamelessly not even shame to hid it again. This dullard is truly a lost soul and a headmouth.
