7. When things start getting serious and the L-word comes into play, guys tend to start running for cover. Don’t push too hard or you’ll lose him.

8. Long distance only works when you’re married. Don’t try it except you can visit your partner wherever they are.

3. Life isn’t always fun, there will be bumps in your relationship, bear the pain.

4. If your relationship is based on sex, then you’re not in a healthy relationship. Start talking more and doing less.

5. Conversations are good in a relationship, but you need to talk about things that bother you or things that annoy you, otherwise, your relationship will die from meaningless conversations.

6. If your partner has a terminal illness be supportive but don’t start acting differently. Pitying him will hurt his pride and make him draw away from you.

7. Try to do something for your partner everyday. Funny enough, it’s usually the small gestures that count. So don’t be too extravagant.

8. Don’t try to make your partner jealous by using another person, that usually ends in a fight or a breakup.

9. If you’re the type that’s interested in marriage and your partner isn’t. Then just tell him. If he can’t change his plans for you, then don’t sacrifice yours for him.

10. Not every relationship is meant to be. If your partner is wrong for you, you will know. So, don’t force it.

Relationships are very delicate, especially in the first stages. If you want yours to work, you need to work hard and you also need to be very careful.
