Jibrin Fails To Appear At Ethics Committee Hearing Of Budget Padding Allegation by DaudaAbu(m): 11:37am On Sep 23, 2016

The House of Representatives Committee on Ethics and Privileges on Friday commenced its investigative hearing into the allegations levelled against the former Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin.

The Chairman of the Committee, Nicholas Ossai, is presiding over the session, but Jibrin is not present at the hearing.

This comes barely 48 hours after the House mandated the Ethics committee to probe allegations of misconduct against the former Appropriations Committee chairman.

Jibrin has said he needs a public hearing and anything short of that, he won't honour. The committee should do the needful and organise a public hearing not committee hearing.

Of a truth, no normal man will ever think of honouring such invitation when thieves are trying to investigate one thief. But I really cry for this country. So even Buhari nor fit investigate this great important issue, an issue that involves, many miilions of Naira but prefer to go after GEJ and his wife just because GEJ is without any savour and to make matter worse he is from minority. Well we are watching, just that the zoo will fall very shortly if things continue like this because if two or more thieves are caughr, it would have been natural to investigate all of them. I feel for the minority sha.

That is the zillions Naira question not even the greatest thinkers cannot answer. Who will save this country is the question? Am not surprised that no body will save this country but Buhari would have tried if he had followed the right and true channel. But as it is, no bidy will save this country for now instead, just expect more trouble, confusion, agitations. It is indeed very pity. But Buhari can do better than what he is doing. It is just a matter of being fair to all no matter what. He can do better if he tries to face thing they way they are coming. What is required is to face all the thieves caught and not looking one side. By that this country will naturally adjust itself. Not body will say Buhari is sectional, one sided. In fact he will be praised. But he prefer to going after the minorities, the ones without savour etc. We are watching.
