[ote author=Aufbauh post=49760188]Amnesty International my foot! Who have they help or are they created to monitor only Nigeria situations?

We don't hear them complaining about various racial abuse across Europe, unlawful criminal detention and execution in Asia and the complicity of white police in the continuous killing of black folks in America...... undecided
They are only taking advantage of the Nigerian environment to defend their mandate and justifies their pay.[/quote] Amnesty international is really international. You hear of them talking about Nigeria because Nigeria is your domain. Go to USA, Europe, ARAB etc their voice is quite audible.

@CSTR2, The very same US with the highest number of blacks brutality & killings while AI consciously goes mute mode but would pride itself as a third party intruder. I'd be patiently waiting for your reverse sentiments when a news mention about US does not appeal to your sentiments. You are famous for being a turncoat & i'd ambush to finish you off.

The western world has been pushing the democracy and human rights agenda based on their own beliefs, culture and level of sophistication to a world that is different to them and what is the result? Let's examine the evidence....wars in Libya, iraq, syria, egypt, coups/underdevelopment in Africa but China, a known human rights abuser they go soft on because China says "Phuck you, we do our thing our way because ww are big enough to tell you where to stick your human rights" China did not get to where it is now by adhering to a western definition of human rights, If China wants to build a road, for the greater good, they bulldoze your house and compensate you later. We spend years trying to adhere to western human rights, the road doesn't get built, 10 years after you are still discussing compensation, meanwhile the price of the road has gone up 3 times and now you can no longer afford to build the road and you wonder why there is no development in Africa. Never live your life by another mans rules!!!

I am not saying there are/arent human rights/civil liberties abuses under Buhari but the west should stop trying to look at the world from their own eyes and turning the world into western clones. people are different all over the world, for instance exclusion of gays in Africa or the middle east may be considered a human rights violation in the west but to the people's of these countries (africa/middle east) we do not accept such practices. The inability of the west to recognize local cultural differences is resposible for all the conflicts in the world today. We are not you, stop trying to tell us how to organise our societies!! It's easy to talk about rule of law and civil liberties in a society where everything works and there is respect for institutions, you take that approach to a jungle like Nigeria and you'll never get anywhere. Just look at the war on corruption, we know these people are theives but how many convictions...0! why because rule of law. Sometimes you have to apply what is necessary for the environment you are in.

LOL.... Who ever takes this (US-UK Undercover) agencies seriously is definitely out of his or her mind. This is how they blackmail any government what opposes their will. The next you see they will start planning their color revolution in Nigeria. Thanks to Neocon George Soros and Victoria Nuland of "F...k the EU" smiley)

@vodutive, you are right on point. I am tired of some people always comparing Africa in all aspect with Europe and America. Look around you and you will notice countries that calls their bluff are all progressives. Russia and China today is no longer the old and weak countries they used to be. I am not in anyway rooting for Buhari or any of our thieving politicians, I sincerely wish they were the opposite. Let the corrupt west hands off Africa and stop encouraging corruption (accepting looted funds in their various banking institutions).

This amnesty international seem to have turn to another opposition party in nigeria

Nobody heard them when police shoot and killed a black kid in USA

Nor were they heard when mugabe ordered for arrest and detention of Zimbabwe Olympic team

And I havnt heard them say anything abt Russian govt of putin or the numerous execution of black in Asian countries

I also see that intimidation and unlawful detention of blacks in USA and Europe don't mean anything to them

With no office in nigeria but manage to spew garbage from a distance

Amnesty International is in 150 countries including USA. We also protested against killings by US police cops. #BlackLivesMatter.
So get your facts right.

This is exactly the aim of western powers in the recently concluded UN, voting to defend human right groups whose mailicious intentions is aimed at maligning Nigeria. This campaign has failed from the start. Wailers shall be put to shame

Go to the U.S and tell them to stop illegal detention, and also for the police to stop killing black people , then come back to Nigeria and talk about human right

Dude ur views r very ignorant & dangerous. U blv in abuse of human rights? It seems u were nt born during d dark days of military rule in Nigeria, when killer squads ran rampant silencing anyone perceived 2 disagree wt d govt (Google Sergeant Roger). If human rights were adhered 2, bright minds lyk ken saro wiwa wld nt hv bn wasted & y? because he was protesting d environmental degradation of ogoni land by oil multinationals (mainly shell). Human rights shld neva b joked wt. Dts wt separates us 4rm lower animals. Wt out it, barbarism & oppression wld run amok. D reason y Nigeria is a jungle is because human rights r nt being enforced due 2 weak institutions, which breeds impunity eg in d case of corruption, if pple r denied d opportunity 2 carry out nefarious activities by thorough scrutiny, dere wld b fewer cases of such. D reason y d war on corruption doesnt seem 2 b won isn't due 2 rule of law. It's due 2 a weak failing judicial system dts on dire need of reform. Until we start tnkn of hw 2 Institute mechanisms 2 prevent corruption 4rm happening in d 1st place , we wld always b plagued by it because if given d opportunity, most pple wld carry out sharp practices. D Western powers r nt perfect bt d painful truth is dt their civilization is more advanced Dan ours. Y? Dey hv bn where we've bn b4 so dey know d pitfalls & hw 2 surmount & circumvent dem. All those form of governance dey hv tried it- fascism, oligarchy, nazism, monarchy, despotism etc bt true democracy has so far bn d best. Anybody wt common sense & who's honest wld c reason in wt dey practice in their own coun3s.
