This is exactly how Nigerian government breeds militants, kidnappers and terrorists: imagine over 800 Aero contractors workers under the management of AMCON have been rudely and unjustly locked out of their office without any payments coupled with a backlog of over 3 months salaries owed, all forms of entitlement were not paid. Yet our government turned a blind eye and a deaf ear. Even the minister of Aviation came once and since disappeared into the thin air. The last we heard of him was that he went for a conference in Canada while hundreds of Nigerian families have been thrown out on the street from their sources of livelihood.
These workers have been staging peaceful protest for close to 40days, yet no one seems to care. The only thing government has done is to send armed police men to stay on guard and probably shoot them down if they dare misbehave.
No one seems to care if over 800 Nigerian families are being humiliated and subjected to hardship, Government doesn't give a hoot if their children have been sent out of school or if their landlords have threatened to throw them out on the streets since they could no longer pay their bills.
Hmmm... Everyone has their elastic limit. What exactly do you expect a family man who has been sent home without any form of compensation to do after sometimes? When you push someone too hard to the wall his survival instinct will kick in and will definitely retaliate.
All these people are clamoring for is their right, they are well meaning Nigerians who are simply demanding they be treated with some iota of dignity and accorded their entitlements. Please don't turn them into what they are not! Nigeria has enough problems in her hands already no need to create more. Give these gentlemen and women their rights and nip the problem in the bud now before it becomes an uncontrollable wild fire!
