I said it! Fulani Herdsmen have a chain of command that goes higher than most State Commissioner of Police.

They were obviously called by their ogas at the top and given stern reproach that the have swallowed a fish bigger than their esophagus.

They are certainly on their own in this one.

malton:
This whole kidnap thing is now looking like a script straight outta nollywood.

One of three things is involved:

1. The kidnap actually happened and was orchestrated by sons of the soil, but somehow, someone somewhere feels, "let's blame it on the usual suspects, our gullible people will buy it."

2. The kidnap was staged for the same reason as in (1).

3. Someone somewhere is up to something. To gain public sympathy, maybe? You never can tell.

The woman was miraculously rescued just like she was kidnapped.

Actual kidnappers would have played the ball way harder. If it were Fulani herdsmen on the other hand, blood would have spilled, somehow.
Use your brain if it's functional. Stop defending your terrorists Fulani brothers. I am evening suspecting you to be among the fleeing kidnappers.

It's either the woman was not kidnapped or police is covering up something or some people.

With that huge amount of ransom; something is definitely not adding up.

for some years now, the Benin-agbor road, especially the bad spot near the by pass has been terrorized by fulani robbers, several callers have tried to draw the attention of security agencies to it thro the media, I remember I listen to a particular episode of man around town on itv radio and also an afternoon program on another radio station I think it was ku fm can't remember, but the government seem to not be interested because they were not attacking prominent people per say, meteeeeew

They will soon get a presidential pardon.

Kidnapping is liable to death penalty.Let's see how the development will unfold.

Sir/Ma,

There is no ND warlords on Benin-Agbor Expressway.

Do not be like my one time landlord in Lagos who think that any land on the South is Ibo and any land on the North is Hausa. Lol

A lot of people don't know this. Anyone who plies that road frequently will tell you it has escalated and no-one in Govt did a thing about it. But everytime prominent people travel via road, they usually call ahead to station police around it. Mrs Emefiele is not a flashy lady, she doesn't "convoy" and blare sirens for the world to notice. I'm sure the kidnappers saw a nice car and went for it, not knowing the heat that would follow (also, their organisers also helped give them up to the police).

my point exactly, these fulanis have been terrorizing passengers for years on that road and even after this incident, they security agents will still pay deaf ears and look away until another prominent person is kidnapped there

I personally don't believe this story is true. The govt or cbn governor may have paid the ransome and trying to use the police to deceive the public. Police may have gone somewhere to do some arrangee with known criminals to deceive the public. I remember sometimes ago how Police paraded suspects who allegedly killed Bola Ige and today, the story has gone into extinction, as nobody can say this is the actual whereabout of the suspects or the case.

I don't believe any of this nonsense -- not one part of the whole story.

Random Fulani kidnapping an individual with 4 armed police escorts?

Was she even kidnapped . . . I might be wrong though . . .
undecided

From previous reportsn the security details attached to her fled because of the superior firepower of the kidnappers
I don't get it; fulani herdsmen have superior firearms than that of a security team? This is not adding up
They probably paid ransom and got some random criminals to take the fall
Sorry but sorry. . Nigeria is indeed a zoo
