lexiconkabir: Post the full Hadith and complete reference. I 've swept through Sunan Abu Dawud and it is not there. I reckon that your original post was not original but copied and edited from another forum.
There is a reason why a segment of your clergy still treat the Face-veil mandatory, the reason being that they cannot confirm this Hadith your are profferring. Your religion requires women to conceal their beauties from men. Is the face no longer part of a woman's beauty, is the face less attractive than the feet which you require to be covered? |

You are still not getting what he is trying to say Skirts In Scotland, it is usual to see men wearing skirt even for formal events like graduation or ball. That particular skirt is specifically for their men because it is considered for men. Braids I have come across a picture in a history textbook about Africa where the men braid their hair. It was so much of a culture that they go to great length to care for the hair. In this community, braids is considered a male thing. lexiconkabir: 1 Like |

Ma sha Allah jazakumullahu bi khair. One important simple yardstick I use to follow in all my activities is that whenever the prophet pbuh was confronted with two solutions/answers to the same problem he always picked the simpler more convenient one Allah S.W.T is aware of the situations that may arise where a Muslimah's face or hands may be required to be displayed as proven today by biometric verification on almost all vital life endeavors including Hajj. So Allah made it convenient to display the face and the hands. Allah knows best. Ma'assalam. 6 Likes |

Trousers are cultural things. Women generally wears trousers in some culture and don't in some. Men tie wrapper in some and do not in others. So a scotish man wearing skirt is normal and an Arab woman wearing trousers is normal as well. Trouses is not a man's dress in Arab countries and it is in some African countries. Among the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria, You can wear a Trouser (like Kembe) that does not show the shape of your leg.! Really speaking only leggings shows the shape of your legs. In as much as you are wearing a long dress on top of it. The wrapper (Iro)which is not mentioned in fact shows your body shape more than a normal trousers. we should be careful in generalizing things. When you go on Hajj, you will realize that virtually all nation has their women in Trousers but with long gown to cover their bosom. Yet the prophet said, my ummah will never agree on what is wrong! wa Allahu aalam lexiconkabir: |

usermane: I think I made mention that the analysis was copied from shaykh Al-Albanee's book? So if you see the same analysis somewhere else what would that mean to you? Anyway you swept through Abu dawood and didn't find the hadith? If you had checked only kitab al-libas you wouldve found it, anyway the reference I gave was an error it should be 4104 not 4140, I tried to see if I can get an online hadith app because I don't want to go through the stress of scanning the original book, check here https://muflihun.com/abudawood/34/4092 although on the app the reference is 4092, on the hardcopy its 4104. There is a reason why a segment of your clergy still treat the Face-veil mandatory, the reason being that they cannot confirm this Hadith your are profferring. Your religion requires women to conceal their beauties from men. This is irrelevant, the hadith has been proven to be authentic, so we use the hadith to interpret other hadith that discuss the issue of veil, again I repeat no single hadith from the mouth of the prophet saying it is waajib to cover the face and hands. Is the face no longer part of a woman's beauty, is the face less attractive than the feet which you require to be covered? According to Ahlus sunnah wal jama'ah the awrah for men does not include the chest, is the novel (or knees) more attractive than the chest? 2 Likes |

lexiconkabir:Jazaka Allahu khayran. I will like to input one or two things, there is nothing wrong in wearing of trousers by women, so long as it is well covered by the hijab. The hadith that said men should not dress like women and women should not dress like men us saheeh. Scholars now explained that it us relative to where you live or your country. In northern Nigeria, for example, it is believed that wearing of lace or Ankara is for women, so it is frowned upon and discouraged but in the southwest there is nothing wrong with wearing your lace or your Ankara for a man since people in the community have not termed it a cloth for women. The talks on tying of wrapper is more strict but for a Muslim leaving in the southeast there is no wrong there since both men and women tie wrappers. Wa Allahu aalam 4 Likes |

alfarouq:This is exactly what I was about typing, women from middle east wear mainly trousers and you dare not tye wrapper if you happen to live in western world during winter. As for those from south east or South south, I believe they have options rather than tying wrapper. |
