The next election is still a few years away and Nigeria polticians have started the battle to position themselves for the next 2019 election. Saint Peter Obi the hypocrite was the the most prominent in trying to position himself by telling the gullible Nigeria public how he turned Anambra state into a model state known for accountabilty and transparancy.However,he failed to tell members of the public, residents of Anambra were never invited for open bidding of contracts,that he never published how he spent his monthly security vote,his personal company NEXT INTERNATIONAL was the primary beneficiary of his rule and never published the audited states accounts throughout is eight years.

However,the battle that has made the front of all the newspaper headlines is between Tinubu and the Northern Oligarchy bent on clipping his wings ahead of the 2019 election.The lord of Bourdillion made the greatest political mistake when he tried to extend his empire to the federal level and tried to impose the Senate President,House Of Representative Speaker,Governor of Kogi State and recently the Governor of Ondo state.This grave miscalculation resulted in the total humilation of the jagaban and his demystification.Now wounded and his power fast dimishing ,his enemies moved in for the kill and took the battle to his empire in the South West which he had held through a system of financial and political patronage across the various states. The Northern Oligarchy realised Buhari political base was too reliant on Tinubu who could potentially deny him the APC ticket for 2019,so they made an effort to reallign with his major enemy Saraki and decided to drop the forgery suit to further diminish him. Another factor that further reduced his influence and monopoly of patronage in the South West, was his estranged godsons Fashola and Kayode Fayemi who through their "juicy ministries" now had the financial clout to build up and poach members of his vast patronage network. Realising he had been cornered, the lord of bourdillion had to make a retreat,first by trying to appeal to his main adversary Saraki by commending the Federal Govermennt for dropping the perjury charges against Saraki he initiated after his candidate for the Senate Presidency, Lawan was denied the post. Now in retreat and wounded,he sent his godson Arebesola to meet Fayose in Ekiti and has begun the process of reconciling with members Afenifere who he had long been estranged with and also further making efforts to reconcile with Mimiko of Ondo state to form a united front against the Norther Oligarchy in 2019 and have them come to him and meet his demands in order to win the South West.

Now the battle between the elites is about to begin on who gets the pillage the countries resources and call the shots at the seat of the power,realignments are being made,the appeal to ethnic sentiments,the instument used by the elites since 1960 to get members of their tribes to align with them and further their poltical interest has begun. The battle cry was started by Fayose of Ekiti State,when he said an attack on Tinubu was an attack on the Yoruba.However,what the youths,the leaders of tommorrow must realise that this fight is not based on solely for private interests and benefits. The battle is not being fought so Nigeria will have functional railways,24 hours electricy or job growth but for their political empires they have carved for themselves that help them escape justice from corruption and to further loot the countries resources.

Nigerian youths on the other hand spend most of time arguing along ethnic lines and insulting each other tribes.We have a long way to go,we have some of the most ignorant and backward people in the world.

Oga that the youths in SA and Ghana are doing it doesn't necessarily make it right. To me, free tuition is demonic policy that kills. Look at Nigeria as a case study. It is failing us woefully.

The South African youth are still protesting for something that is beneficial to them that is the difference. Nigerians youths protest agianst EFCC to return to millions of dollars to Patience Jonathan and are paid protestors at every corrupt politician trial. Majority have zero critical thinking skills and fail to ask this vital question.They fail to realise they have all the power because about 70% of the population are youths. We need an alternative party to PDP and APC who consists of mainly old men with analog thinking and form a party of our own, or join of the the smaller ones and take over the structures.The veteran polticians are backwards and only think along ethnic lines as they scheme how to loot the nation.

Nairaland can be part of the change by banning anyone that starts ethnic threads and members that argue based on ethnic lines or insult other ethnic groups. This has been a major means of manipulation the elite use against the gullible youths to fight their battles for them. As an ethnic Yoruba I have never benefitted from Tinubu's loot or any of my family members,we don't belong to his vast patronage network that enjoy financial and political patronage. Out of a population of 170 million citizens only 1% of the population are benefitting from the nations resources, the elite have shared the oil blocks,PHCN,oil lifting contacts,state allocation among themselves and continue to manipulate and brainwash the youths to maintain the status quo. They don't want to see youths become educated and become critical thinkers that is why they underfund and destroy the education system. Once the youths open their eyes and become enlightened that regardless of tribe whether your Yoruba,Ijaw,Hausa,Ibo, etc we are all victims of the Ibori',Peter Obi,Tinubu's,IBB,Atiku's,Abdusalami,Obj etc that have cornered all the countries resources and use us to fight their battles. There needs to be an awakening of the youths,so they know the power the hold,I'm not sure the most effective way to reach and enlighten them.

We now have Dogbara who is the twin of Bankole,padding budget and diverting the proceeds to his persoanl farm. They see the youth as people to manipulate along ethinc lines to be used to achieve their nefarious agenda.
