At the end who is going to be the judge on the cases of these judges? It's of a serious concern.

SaharaReporters learnt that CJ Auta was quizzed and then quietly released yesterday by the DSS, but the department has not officially confirmed either his arrest or interrogation.

And the zombie mods catapulted this nonsense to the FP. grin

Naija is in a mess. Where is the hope of the common man?
This is greediness at its peak. One thing that baffles and I doubt if I am ever going to undestand is why some people will keep stockpiling money which they can never finish spending till they die even to their fourth generation.

please let no one come here screaming, propaganda, witch hunt and what have you. there should be no due process for those who are messing up with the very process. plus please let every of these accuse bear their surname, stop drinking panado on another's headache. enough of poor people coming out to shield rich thieves.

I thought these Judges were intelligent. How can you keep $500,000.00 in your bedroom? There are so many discreet places within the compound to hide such money. Please do not think I support corruption o. The Judges should all be hanged by the balls grin cheesy

These people dont have immunity, if they are corrupt let the law catch up with them. Its a terrible thing for the Judiciary to be corrupt. Whoever is corrupt should be prosecuted.

I used to tell people that every tribe has good and bad people in almost equal numbers. but they wouldnt agree.

Most of the highly placed judges involved in all these are from the North (same region that has more appointment slot due to their "sanctity")

Now i understand why GEJ emphasized on building stronger institutions as a way of fighting corruption.

For me, let the law take its full course.

I don't believe Sahara reporters at all. I have questions that needs urgent answers
1. Did DSS went to their house with counting machine?
2. How long does it take to count over 300 million?
3. How come DSS knows the exact amount of money in Justice Lima's house ie $2million?
4. How come the only corrupt Judges here are the ones that gave judgements against DSS and FG?
5. What's is the main duty of DSS as enshrined in the constitution?
Until all this questions are answered, DSS remains biased on this issue.

They arrested them wrongly. If they had done things the right way, those judges will be cooling their heels in jail cells right now. In a case of bribery, there must be 2 parties involved. The giver and the receiver. If you cannot prove that the money found on someone is a bribe, you have no case especially when the accused is a senior judge. These judges are old men that do things in archaic ways. If someone is foolish enough to keep bribe money in his house that means he probably has been communicating with the bribe giver on phone. Get their phone records, put them side by side and every piece of the puzzle will fall in place. It is one thing to tell someone that he is corrupt, it is another thing entirely to say "Mr. Lagbaja, you are corrupt because on this particular day at this particular time, in this particular place you received this particular amount of money form this particular person to influence this particular judgement". What the DSS did was something like: Hey guys, let's bust their houses and see if we can get anything to implicate them. What if the money found in their houses is from robbery and not bribe? Go to kirikiri and you will see that only poor people rot there (unless the government has a hand in the case). Rich people will always exploit the law even without bribing any judge. The DSS needs to learn to build watertight cases before moving in on suspects so once they are arrested there will be no talk of releasing them on self recognition when the noise gets too high.

I don't knw why DSS wil release them without detaining them in Kuje.they r humans and nt above the law

All these media trial without prosecution. Nigerians are gullible. In no distant time nothing will be heard about these case again.
The issue of dasuki and others are shinning examples.
This party APC knows how to deal with Nigerians.
Give them something political to worry about and they forget about their travails.

APC for show.

By the time they finish trying people in the media, they will go to court but won't be able to string together a coherent case or produce evidence against the accused. When they bungle their case, they will start shouting judge, defence lawyers, clerks and registrars are corrupt.

But in the first instance, you were busy bad-mouthing people in the media instead of spending time preparing a diligent prosecution.

Cow brains.
