President Muhammadu Buhari has sent 46 names of non-career ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for confirmation and approval.

President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, read the President’s letter to the chamber during Thursday plenary.

The nominees include retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice George Oguntade (Lagos); former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Mrs. Paulen Tallen (Plateau); former member of the House of Representatives, Usman Bugaje (Katsina), former Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Ibeto.

I believe the meeting Tinubu kinsmen held with Buhari recently is yielding a fruitful result. When I went through the list, I discovered Lagos has 3 nominees while some Northern States like Plateau, Kaduna, Katsina, Kano et al has 2 each. Let's hope they perform well though.

The former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Uyi Igbe (though wrongly spelt there as Uyagwe Igbe) is also on the list.

Some peeps would surely develop headache seeing the list.

Lemme attach it here joor!

From the North. Bauchi, Kaduna, Kwara, Plateau , Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kano, have 2 names each.

From the South. Only Rivers has two while Lagos has three.

From the north we have 27
From the South we have 19

In one instance we Igbos claim that we want to break away from Nigeria; in another instance we whine about political positions in Nigeria. Why are we demanding for political appointment in the same country we want to break away from?

Why is FCT not represented in the list? this is unfair and unjust, since 1999, FCT has always has an ambassadorial nominee, and now PMB has taking away our right as a people to have a representative? this man is a sadist, and to think some states have more than one nominee

See question, the civil war was fought to liberate themselves from Nigeria and since after the war their plan is to leave but you guys still love our company and yet won't give us the freedom to harness our resources except we get approval from corrupt entities from Abuja
