I think your friends phone is having a problem and needs to be taken to the carlcare. My Dad uses an L8plus and he does complain of that. He's been enjoying every bit of the phone.

Get the LA plus. U won't regret it. Better battery performance and runs fluid too. It's a good buy

OP I'll suggest you get the L8+. It as twice the RAM of the L8 so you won't experience the hanging.

My friend uses the L8 and she has never complained about it. You can get the L8+ as it's a better version of the L8. Lasting battery too.
