It is enough please. One body introduces compulsory indigenous language education, another, compulsory civics education, some foreign body comes up with the idea of compulsory 'phonics' education. They are still mulling over compulsory sex education. Now we are talking about compulsory finance education. Schools will just use the opportunity to sell 'compulsory' text books at exorbitant prices, and the children will end up overloaded with maybe 5 useful courses and 10 useless ones. What business does a farner or a doctor have with civics, or financial markets? Since when did the CBN become the Ministry of Education? This is getting irritating. They should update their commercial studies curriculum since they are just finding out that they are teaching 1960 financial studies from a curriculum left behind by the colonialists.

I know it's not CBN's business, but let them also try and bring back HISTORY to our schools and remove ISLAMIC /CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS STUDIES from the curriculum.
We can't have our children believing that horses can fly and that donkeys can talk.
Good info. they are set to introduce history beginning from september next year

Yeah.
But maybe they just want to fully teach it as a separate unit, instead of making it as part of another subject!
