This is a clear proof that these guys are just engaging in media trial. How can Chairman of the anti graft agency of a nation make such a claim? Is he now the law? Is he the prosecutor, judge and jury at the same time? Are we in a banana republic?

Shocking statement!
Maybe somebody needs to remind Mr. Magu that the highest law of this Nation states that "every accused person remains innocent until proved guilty by a competent court of law". This shows why they haven't won a single case after several arrests and trials.

Calm down.

Whoever you arrest should be charged to court for prosecution.

Whoever you arraign is presumed INNOCENT.

You do not have the power to pronounce anyone guilty. No matter how militant you think you are EFCC is not a court of law.

Only a court of competent jurisdiction can pronounce an accuse, standing trial before it, guilty.

Mr. Magu, learn to be temperate, it will save you in the future. Almost all the occupant of your current seat have been alleged for one form of infraction or another by successive government - Nuhu Ribadu, Farida Waziri and Ibrahim Lamorde have all been 'found' to have misused their offices.

Every one of them was/is presumed INNOCENT.

If/when they arrest you too in the future it won't change, you would still be deemed INNOCENT until the court says otherwise.

Please shut up. Though he did not frame his statement well, what he means is that they don't just wake up and arrest anybody, they carry out their due diligence and any one who is arrested must have been involved in one corrupt act or the other. Anyone with a brain should be able to understand this, but I guess hatred rots the brain.

Ill mannered kids are disgusting to read or behold...if a person in his position doesn't know how to 'frame his public statements' carefully he cannot be excused because he represents the entire organisation. Did u read that part where I wrote that despite all the conjectures of guilt they're unable to prove same in the courts? When the chips are down that is what counts and u are just too much of a zombie to comprehend that aren't you? He is not in the position to pronounce guilt under any guise!

Keep excusing the inexcusable when deadly statements are made in public just until it comes to bite u on the arse...doofus!

U dnt understand simple english expression. He was trying to say the commission wouldnt just pick anybody without OVERWHELMING evidences and witnesses that d person actually commit d crime.Which means that even though d court may eventually set them free(corrupt judges) does not mean no crime has been commited, which I agree with himShikena.

The modern world functions differently from what you prefer.

It is the court of law that is saddled with pronouncing guilt.

The law enforcement agents' argument and evidence should be convincing enough for conviction.

If you get arrested in the future, we would still argue same on your behalf.

How do you know what he meant to say? Is he a child?

He was once reported to have said that 'they would start preventing' lawyers from defending accused in the court. Could you explain what he meant by that too? How will you hound a lawyer for doing his job? If all lawyers are prevented from defending their clients, who will defend Magu if he becomes an accused in the future?

Who doesn't know that a law enforcement agent should have a reason for arresting a suspect? Who is he trying to explain that to?

The reason for arresting a suspect should be presented in the court. It is the judge that has been given the authority to either accept or reject Magu's reasons.

No matter what you do and no matter how you feel, do not encourage the time tested legal system to be denigrated. If you blatantly support tyranny because of hatred, it'll sooner or later catch up with you.

EFCC has suddenly become the judge, pronouncing people guilty. Buhari is taking over the judiciary gradually. No wonder the recent behaviours!
The executive is the only arm of government right now, legislative and Judiciary are all dead and buried since may 29th 2015. It's no longer 3 arms of government, it's now 1 arm of government. Democracy has finally come to stay. Smh

The corrupt practices of the accused have already caught up with me. I don't care how about legal technicalities, it's not like the judiciary can even be trusted anymore. Magu will only be afraid of getting accused in the future if he has skeletons in his closet. He doesn't so what do you want him to be afraid. All the arrested are guilty. You know it. I know it. Deal with it.

When they arrest them, They take them in for questioning, Though they have evidence against them but will want to hear their own side of the story first before charging them to court.. Can you charge someone to court without interrogating that person?

most of those arrested cases are in court already.

Just like his master speaks recklessly by thinkin from there anus before they speak ! Nigeria don't av intellectuals in govt agencies.. It speaks well on why we have been coming up wit bad policies!

Very unfortunate!

The next government after Buhari will be saddled with rebuilding our public institutions from the scratch again.

These are the institutions we have spent billions to put to shape having been battered almost irreparably by the long military rule.

Before our eyes, all the billions in monetary value and man-hour are coming to waste. They have set us back by almost 60 years and currently taking us back to the medieval times in less than 2 years.

Sad!

All the interventions of international organization in training our agencies have been rendered completely useless.

And to say that many gladiators who fought for decent living and freedom we are taking for granted today are keeping mum. One would have thought that these are the kinds of things that should elicit reaction from Femi Falana, Olisa Agbakoba, and others who spent enormous resources in time, finance, sweat and blood.

It looks like you are still an adolescent. Your 'energy is supercharged'.

You see, the moment you utter statements like you don't care about how legal systems works, you reveal how un-riped or how damaged your reasoning processes are. They have done a great damage to your young mind and that is pathetic.

Is arresting a suspect not part of the "legal technicalities" that you said you don't care about?

You may know those who are guilty 'in your mind', congratulations, but not everyone is blessed with the gift of 'omniscience' to know what is not presented to the public.

Neither Magu nor you has been given the authority to pronounce anyone guilty. It has been like that before you were born, it would be like that after you are long dead. There's nothing you can do about it.

If you or Magu desire such powers, you can begin the process of becoming a judge.

For now, you can go and deal with reconciling your illusionary reasoning with reality.

Everybody in Nigeria knows we cannot trust any policeman in our society, how come when it question of politics we easily trust the policeman saying somebody steals money, without a judge confirming the person is guilty.

Never trust the word of a policeman, they can be an easy tool use to oppress the poor, in politics, who is in power is the big man, while opposition is the poor with no voice trying to make his voice heard.

EFCC and its spin doctors can continue to cook up stories and feed their collaborators in the media. The media trial can continue unabated, EFCC was only carrying out the APC agenda EFCC has now turned into a house of comedy! Some nauseating entertainment. we are not against the fight against corruption by EFCC but let it be done with decency and must not be done or seen as unleashing so much vendetta, vindictiveness and carefully planned and rehearsed acts of witch-hunt against the opposition
