Fraud: Essential Physics Fourth Edition!! by Kirinwa: 6:23pm On Oct 27, 2016
It has come to my notice that Tonad Essential physics for senior secondary schools is inconsistent in certain areas.
This is as a result of poor editing which has the ability of confusing new Secondary school students getting to learn physics for the first time.

Of note is in Page 7 and 8 as regards dimensions of Work which are inconsistent. Page 8 has the right answer. I know therw are other areas in the book and other secondary school textbooks.

A law should be passed to jail all book publishers who make such lousy mistakes. Poor quality textbooks births poor students and faulty leaders.

....Hey easy man.. It might be a mistake in publishing. For all you know, your book might be the only one having these inconsistences

Besides, your book might be an early edition.
That's why they revise books and print out new editions : To eliminate previous mistake.

Even New School Physics wey be the baba for sec physics had inconsitiences in the first Edition.

in actual fact, I told my students to stop using the textbook (essential physics).. There are many obvious errors in that textbook.. Just too many

Perhaps you have an early edition.

Check new and more recent editions and compare with yours.

That should clarify things

exactly my point.. All the mistakes I noticed are still repeated in the latest edition.. That is when I give up on them..
Infact, an example was wrongly solved in light wave (plane mirror)..

Thanks for understanding. These are students starting out on the course. Mistakes of such natures are not tolerated. It could cause a lot of damage.
If not that I learnt physics from the great P.N Okeke himself I wouldn't have spotted it.

Oga there's no justification for mediocrity. In saner countries such mistakes don't occur. I bought the most recent edition published July, 2015.
