They voluntarily recused themselves from service and were not suspended, they are still serving judges with full entitlements and remuneration. Please note that 3 out of the 7 have already been dealt with by the NJC via petitions against them. The other 4 have no case against them and it will be next to impossible to have any charge stick because due process has not been followed. They have not been indicted by the NJC which is the body with constitutional power to do so.

Aa it stands, the executive can only comfortably file charges against Justices Tsamiya, Umezulike and Auta as they have been properly eased out of the system.
