MIIP Editorial Board Agrees On Facelift For Brand by jpmorganxx: 7:43am On Nov 04, 2016
… as deliberation on making it a national project comes to conclusion

After years of rigorous consultation and deliberation, the Editorial Board of the book and brand, Most Influential Igbo Personalities, otherwise known as MIIP has finally agreed on a facelift for the project, to enable it accommodate other elites in the country and at the National level.

Pointing this out, the author and head-honcho, Ugochukwu Favour-Mayor who earlier was spotted at the State House when he came to visit the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina said that his visit was on personal capacity, though official and to who he came to see, adding that currently it has nothing to do with the government.

The project that aims at celebrating Igbo icons had Mr. Femi Adesina writing the foreword of the book, which also makes it pertinent for him to conclude the deliberation move for a facelift.

Unraveling details of what was discussed in the meeting that lasted for few minutes, Ugochukwu added that it was a direct one, following previous activities that followed up after the unveiling of MIIP around last two years, which had them taking quality time to peruse through feedbacks and call for amendments.

According to him, “the very visit to the Villa was for final deliberation. It has nothing to do with the government, at least for now. The only difference is that we can’t have a meeting place where everyone involved could be called together. These are busy people, and the best way to get them is by meeting them one after the other, whether at workplace or at their homes, because it’s a serious project that needs conscious consultation and advises.

“Now at the Villa, decision is made based on personal capacity, not based on where one finds his or herself. For the meeting here, I know we agreed on making it a National project, after going through feedbacks and inputs made by the general public. And because we are being responsive to change and advancement, our Editorial team had a deliberation towards it. To the glory of God, I can assure you that the book and brand, Most Influential Igbo Personalities is now a national one.

“Right now, we are going back to work; we have to work on rebranding, selection processes alongside credibility. Trust us this time again as we are not going to compromise. We will work to get it right because we have a name to protect, especially with the individuals involved,” he said.

Commending the activity of the government, he said, “first, you need to understand that now that we have considered a facelift, it means that the brand is for all Nigerians. It is now a National project. Based on that, we are acknowledging the anti-corruption movement under the Federal Government; and inasmuch as the fight is ongoing, we shouldn’t also deviate from the fact that eminent and influential Nigerians who have been able to keep a clean and sound record should be appreciated.”

While urging Nigerians not to relent in their support so far for the brand, Ugochukwu also called on all with quality and visible advice to join the social media interaction platform, www.facebook.com/MIIPng for more.
