There’s no where that it’s commanded “Thou shall get married”. marriage is not a do or die affair.
But if you think you are now ready for it, then you need to consider this:

God is too smart to choose your mate, he only gives you prospect. he knows that when he chooses your mate and it doesn’t work out, you can always blame him for your misery. So do not be deceived when someone comes in the name of God to sway you into marriage.


You’ve got to study people a long time to know 10 percent of who they are… they will never tell you the truth, they will lie to you, especially if they love you, they will make you think they always like to clean the house, they will make you think their breathe always smells fresh.
it is when you start living with them that you get to know who they really are…so before you choose, be sure it is who you can live with.

What people do is that they experiment, and when the experiment doesn’t work, they blame everyone else.
Marriage is the most important decision you will ever make in your life.-this is a relationship decision, it is about how you relate to another human.

Sometimes its easier to buy a car than to choose a spouse. Choosing a right partner for marriage must not be taken without careful thoughts…Am so tired of seeing marriages fall apart.

Be careful when someone says “I Love You”.
The greatest danger of love is when you simplify it. When someone says i love you! ask them what they mean, because there are four kinds of love

1. STORGE- Family Love
2. PHILIA- Friendship Love
3. EROS – Intimate Love
4. AGAPE- Unconditional Love

So when you tell somebody i love you, what do you mean? most of the time when a man tells a woman i love you, he means number 3. (i want to go to bed with you) that ain’t love, that’s lust.

So instead of him using the right word for his motivation, he uses the general word… he’s supposed to say ‘i EROS you’, so the girl will know what kind of love he means.
The second one is PHILIA, which is friendship love- But this is the one that people can’t handle too well.

A guy and a girl go out for a cup of coffee, and all she wants is PHILIA, but he wants Eros, and here they are trying to drink coffee, there’s a definitely going to be a problem. so you see, we can’t even have a good time with each other any more, love is so complicated. So when someone says they love you, you better find out which one they mean.

The only love that is permanent is AGAPE because it is eternal. Love is not emotions, love is an act of the will, AGAPE is an act of the will.

As a matter of fact, love is a choice, because you will always meet other people that are richer, more intelligent, taller, darker and cuter than your spouse, when you get married, people don’t vanish. you will always meet a guy who is ready to give you anything, and he likes you, and he says the things you want to hear- what are you going to do?

And for the guys, you will always meet women who are more endowed, more beautiful and more sexually available, and they may even make advances at you, what are you going to do? All you have is a choice… that is what love is, You have to keep your choice. When you get married, the only thing that keeps you married is your decision and that’s all. Feelings don’t keep you, ring don’t keep you, sex or any other thing don’t keep you in marriage but choice. You have to understand that.
