caracas: Your assessment is very accurate. Some of us that use the service know the difference. First the BRT fare is higher, the process of getting tickets is slow, sometimes you come out early to the bus stop and there will be no Ticketer. The most annoying situation is when you are running late and your BRT enters a bus stop waiting for it's turn to get to the passenger queue. Very frustrating. But when you talk of the LAGBUS, you talk of flexibility in rates, in payment while the bus is on the move, no red tapes, and the routes are varied too. Common Lagos, allow the two to work side by side 3 Likes |

Please tell LASG that the services of blue BRT is too poor. The buses plying the road is not enough. The decision will kill the business of LAGBUSes and impoverish Lagos commuters. Except this is part campaign of promises, otherwise LASG reconsider your decision in this recession period. 1 Like |

I am seriously thinking of how the new decision will affect commuters on routes where no blue bus operates. I am thinking of Ikeja-Maryland, Fadeyi-Yaba-Oyingbo, Iddo-Eko/Idumota/CMS axis. There are other routes where the red buses 'come to the rescue'. 1 Like |

Lagusta:Lagbus was an investment between corporate body and nurtw. The last administration in Lagos state requested they invest in the expansion of road from mile 12 to ikorodu but they were reluctant until Primero came in to buy the idea. So banning of lagbus on ikorodu rd is to pave way for primero to enjoy their investment and of course primero came in with air-conditioned buses. BRT system was initiated by Tinubu administration............... |

labamo07: No.... the red lagbuses are of two types. Ones is owned by Lagos state via asset management company whiles others are owned by individual companies who buy into the franchise, these ones use different tickets, have the ticketers sell on moving bus. The ones owned partly by NURTW/Ecobank was blue and it is defunct now they were replaced by Primerio blue buses. http://www.lagbus.com.ng |

Why?? After banning dem from mile12-ikorodu brt lane? Dis govt no know how ikorodu people dey suffer for traffic. By this, you want more people to queue up @ ikorodu brt terminal, to avoid mile12-tbs traffic... |

Genesis2000: Na wa o. If u think its a strange word, why not google it to know the meaning. Is this what you will teach your kids or younger ones if they ask you of the meaning of BRT? Batunde Raji Transport indeed. He is not as naive as u are. Shame! 1 Like |
