Good.

But pay is too small

1.Compared to billions Facebook makes from Nigeria yearly.

2.Compared to the money they will get if they decide to use that brain to hack interswitch

3.Compared to money awarded for using cucumber well in the name of peagents

My opinion tho.

Everything is not about money.

Free yourself from this money-money-money mindset.

Do what you love.

Focus on your skills.

Widen your knowledge and awareness.

Work to learn and not to earn.

Make a solid name for yourself.

Then when the money finally starts to pump in from all corners in quantum, don't be surprised when you find yourself telling upcoming hustlers that everything ain't about money!

Well said!

In fact, the prizes are actually small in amount. 1m naira is not that bogus when you convert it to US Dollars with the current exchange rate (E reach 2000 USD?). Great initiative though.

I don't think they performed well. The judges were inspired by their dedication and passion, not skills.

Just say you want to find faults.
Skills alone is not what it takes to succeed in today's workplace - dedication and passion actually go a long long way. Do you know the failures Mark experienced on his journey to creating what is known as Facebook today?

Neither was it stated anywhere that they were lacking in skills, you simply chose to take a statement and interpret as you want. Let's try and be constructive with our criticism abeg.

This is the trend right now. Big Tech Companies stage a competition where budding young talents showcase their skills and at the end of the day a paltry sum is paid to them and their ideas are stolen and put to use by the companies. From which they make lots of money, mentally robbing and brain draining the young unsuspecting folks.
I just pray these intelligent young men get to really put their skills to use and also benefit from it financially and otherwise.
*Shalom*
