Lokoja, Kogi State Capital had over the last 6 months or more slipped and sleeps in perpetual darkness every night. At most we have light for four hours a day. Two hours between 11a.m and 1pm and 6:30 to 8:30. Afterwards the whole towns light is switched off till the next day. This has made life terrible for residents as night life is totally grounded and most shops are forced to close earlier than expected. When some people were saying the light situation has improved around their area, I began to wonder if we are in this Nigeria together. The most unfortunate thing is that the Nations capital, Abuja is getting their power supply from geregu power station in Ajoakuta very close to the Kogi state capital, Lokoja, yet we do not enjoy steady power supply. Meanwhile in Abuja even in the local areas and the slums and suburbs, light is very constant. This is very unfair. We generate the power yet its been used to service Abuja residents. When people do rash things against government infrastructures, sometimes u can't blame them cos this is the height of insensitivity. AEDC should pls do something before the men of the underworld invade the town to cause harvoc I beg
