Its so sad that Nigerians did not have better options at the elections and had to chose between Buhari and Jonathan. Something needs to be done about how electoral process especially in the primaries. Instead of the party cabal picking the who determines to win the party nominee and represent them in the general elections let Nigerians go to the voting booth and decide. Let the people vote like they do in the U.S. Let them vote during the party primaries and during the general elections. In the U.S, 17 candidates decided to run for the Republican nomination and eventually after several months Donald Trump won the nominee and he went on to win the general elections. Party candidates ought to be picked by the people and not the party bosses.
