The Federal government on Thursday expressed the opportunity that the educational workforce Union of Universities could suspend its going nationwide strike.

The everlasting Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Dr. Clement Illo, told newsmen in Abuja that authorities became positive that ASUU could solve the crises soon.

A meeting with ASUU, convened by means of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, the Committee on Labour and the Committee on education, amongst others, led to deadlock on Wednesday.

Illo, who defined the assembly as “a very effective step,” said the three-hour meeting recorded large fulfillment toward resolving the issues.

He, however, said, “it is nevertheless work in development and we are nonetheless assembly the next day (Friday) and on Monday.
