More rubbish at Anfield. Another idiotic referee falls for yet another DIVE by a Liverpool player and salvages a point.

When will refs get the balls to stop allowing this nonsense?

All in all, Liverpool showed their 'quality' - a huff and puff team with no cutting edge.

I hope the moronic idiots at FIFA get their acts together and suspend Ngog - there was absolutely NO CONTACT whatsoever.

Great team effort by Birmingham, excellent work by Seb Larsson the ex Arsenal trainee. cool

Even with Gerrard they needed an atrocious refereeing decision to get a point? the spuds might actually have a shot at 4th place.
Re: Liverpool Vs Birmingham On Monday, 9th November; 9pm Nig Time by biina: 12:07am On Nov 10, 2009
Footballing bodies need to clamp down on all these diving by imposing stricter punishments. The risk needs to be commensurate with the reward.
A dive outside the box should warrant a yellow card, while a dive in the box should attract a red card. After all the opposition defender would get at least a yellow card, and a penalty awarded, if the ref buys it.
Post match review should also be applicable.
Re: Liverpool Vs Birmingham On Monday, 9th November; 9pm Nig Time by bgees(m): 12:55pm On Nov 10, 2009
Every player is a diver potentially. the Rooneys, Eduardos , Van Persies  and the Drogbas have all dived in the past. and they will still dive some more. Drogba and Ronaldo wrote the book on diving, remember when Robben ( when he was at Chelsea) dived to get Reina sent off. What Ngog allegedly did will never be as shameful as that. pls stop bitching and moaning, especially the Chelsea fans, STFU!

But is Ngog really a cheat? did he really dive? In my opinion, the guy avoided a menacing two-footed tackle from the Carsley. if he had not jumped , he would have been seriously injured by now.  Afterward, Ngog did not even complain or protest. so I dont think Ngog is a cheat, he simply avoided the tackle.  but it was not a penalty. AND maybe Carsley deserved it, next time he won't come charging like a slowpoke on skis.

that said, the penalty was a way of consoling us. we deserved to win and Birmingham deserved to lose.

is that the way u see it

that penalty just denied B'ham a chance to win the game
the points shld be deducted from u

well, they didn't deserve to win the game, not even a point. we controlled the game from the start so we deserved more than a point.

Arrant rubbish - Ngog's dive is as shameful as the ones moronic players like Eboue sometimes try - simply untenable. There was NO CONTACT AT ALL!! At least when Ronaldo dives, he gets touched, no matter how slightly.

But is Ngog really a cheat? did he really dive?

Yes and Yes.

RUBBISH - there was no attempt to hurdle the tackle or avoid the tackle - he feigned contact when there was none - pure and simple. He looked to the referee for a penalty so how can you say he didn't complain? What is there to complain about when the referee immediately pointed to the spot? Complain for a second penalty?

Ngog is a cheat - professional footballers will ensure there is contact - the only requirement for a penalty. Ngog DIVED even with no contact, which is unpardonable.

Carsley deserved it, next time he won't come charging like a slowpoke on skis.

Really? Don't worry, Carra will get sent off again for being a slowpoke as well.

There is no such thing as 'deserving to win' - you huffed and puffed and COULDN'T score, so you deserved to lose. It's sad to hear such atrocious arguments in favour of your side. Why did you need a fraudulent penalty to 'console' you? Did the ref steal anything from you?

It's high time we started speaking the truth about our players - I will NEVER support a blatant case of diving, please be bold enough to call a spade a spade.
