Am Also a graduate from the school. Firstly, why did the OP use the Mini Campus Gate's Picture? Although the school is not a perfect school, the present V.C. is really doing well, the school calendar is faster and better, the infrastructures at the Main Campus are Well drafted, the library is really large and modern with free WiFi in the campus too. Almost Everything in the school now is Digital, i was shocked when i went to collect my certificate. As the School is positioned in the FCT, politics is expected too hold full sway therein. In few years to come, some people will wish they have their certificate from the school. No school without its own particular problems. 1 Like |

And one lecturer told his group of students to buy inverter and battery as their project work. Buy and not construct themselves, He scores them A and goes home with the inverter and battery Nigeria educational system is a joke and when i hear ASUU fronting strike , it show the level of decadence Buhari need to beam his anti corruption war that way . 1 Like |

Let's test run selling a public university in Nigeria eg uniabuja. Let them pay their lecturers and foot all their bills. Then compare statistics based on NUC ranking bw 5-10 yrs. If there is a remarkable improvement in 5yrs, add 5 more public unis. If not, we continue as we are. We can't continue like this. The best unis in d world are all private: havard, stanford, Cambridge, oxford, yale MIT... |

dubemnaija2:Hmmm, the decay has existed for so many years but I thought this present Buhari Government would have come up with a better blueprint on resuscitating our educational system. But I am no more surprised! Imagine the high monetization of Ondo election. If APC could afford #5000 per vote in Ondo multiply by 200,000 plus during recession, I wonder how much they will spend in 2019. APC scam will spend more than DASUKI |

aaronson: IF 10 percent of graduates from Nigerian Universities think the way you think, they would have given Nigeria a positive direction. Thanks for the insight. |

Oh I would personally like to meet the op. This is one topic I have complained and complained about for years. I graduated in 2005 from that sick school and like you, I kept counting my days even before I left. From top to bottom (lecturers and students) it was a huge joke. Corruption has sooo eaten into everything concerning gwags that I decided even before I left what I wanted to do with my life. Fast forward two years later I needed my transcript to register for my prof exams and I remember crying out my eyes. First of all, you'll see courses you never ever registered in the first place with grades such as 'E'. Oya what of the elective I took and saw my grades were a 'B' nko? it was empty. 3 years later in 2010 my husband insisted I follow it up it cannot be my transcript. Fortunately one of my class mates who happens to be a staff's child has gained employment at the university and was working in the department that processes transcripts. Lucky me! I told him my story and he's like ooo am sooo sorry u know most times when we are compiling grades for a transcript we might not find all the results, so anyone that is missing we just put 'E' for d person and I am like WT*? I dont want to start with how i studied and studied and still the lectures frustrated every effort. I honestly wish I had the courage then to write jamb again and go to another school during my time there cos like the op said it was a big disappointment from what I expected as the only university in the federal capital territory. dubemnaija2: 2 Likes |

Mehmmn, I'm reading physics there. UniAbuja is effed up. New VC is trying though. I had an A in Logic and Philosophy year one (The lecturer showed me my script when I pestered and traced him home), but to date(2years later), nobody is enthusiatic about giving me my A. It's still a carryover. The GST office just the post me anyhow. Oh, how I wish I had a g.un or bo.m.b! |
