THE BLAME IS ON YOU Never give anyone the opportunity to walk out and walk into your life any time they like. It's a great disservice to emotional dignity. You may endure some harsh words in time of conflict, work to rebuild and restore confidence after disagreement, but if they walk there way out of your life, don't open your heart for them so easily return when they come back. Let them work to deserve it, else you will be taken for granted and abused over and over again. If you give them the privilege, simply because of love, they will take you for granted and feel justified any time they act wrongly. They will never know your value or care if you are hurt, they will walk out on you many more times without minding how badly you feel. If they know your heart is always open to welcome them back without efforts anytime they walk out, no matter how much you love them, no matter how much sacrifices you make, they will eventually leave you more dejected than ever. This is something I have since realized. They will walk out when they like, and hope to return when they like without minding the damages being done to you. Some times, they will deliberately walk out with no cogent reason just to undermine you, hoping that you will come begging them to return. And eventually, they will leave some day and never to return again, without feeling any iota of shame. They will convince themselves that you are responsible for everything and that you are not worth their efforts. It's the way of human. Therefore, learn to guard your heart from such people. If you are not strong enough, they can destroy you psychologically and still put the blame on you.
