Here are the top 8 funny and embarrassing quotes by Nigerian politicians we won't like to see something similar this year 2017.

1. Labaran Maku – 2010

“We want to thank the President for bringing Facebook to Nigeria.”

Like we all thanked OBJ for bringing GSM to Nigeria

2. Olusegun Obasanjo – 2010

“With all due respect, If Jesus Christ will come to this world to become INEC Charmian, any election He conducts will be disputed.”

3. Jonathan Goodluck – May 2014

“Over 70% of what they call corruption in Nigeria is mere common theft.”

Mere theft is not corruption

4. Jonah Jang – May 2013

“God is a democrat. He does not support rigging.

But if you rig and succeed, that means God supports it.”

Woah....what is this one saying?

5. Patience Jonathan – November 2011

“Ojukwu is a great man, he died but his manhood still lives on.”

Oops a daisy

6. Adams Oshiomole – December 2013

“Go and Die.”

Adams Oshiomole epic insensitivity cannot be easily forgotten.

7. Patience Jonathan – May 2011

“My fellow widows.”

We never knew she was a widow

8. Rotimi Ameachi – September 2015.

“I will not die, I drank bottled water. You did not drink bottled water.”

Am sure you are wondering what type of bottled water he is talking about.

These have become child's play compared to what we have received since Buhari led APC took charge.
We have a minister telling us how masquerade dressing can generate millions of employment.
We have a minister telling us that money spended was well spended.
We have a minister telling us that money for the payment of falcons wasnt made available because they did not expect them to win in a tournament they were record holders and defending champions.
We have a minister telling us that they plan to import grass from Brazil to feed cows in Nigeria while importation of food for humans is banned to save forex.
We have a president telling us that 97 + 5 adds up to 100.
We have a minister of budget who before the world summit told us that he had no idea how much our external debt was.
Goofs which would have made headlines in the past regimes is a normal in this govt

I think that of GEJ ranks the dumbest and the most intellectual assault that could happen to human existence.

GEJ personifies "corruption with good composure and calm"

The clueless and the ineffectual buffoon!

It is damning on your person to regard those that made those quotes up there as "fellow".

They are stains to a white garment

Seriously, what's wrong with GEJ's comment? Forget the way he put it...the essence of that sentence was - there is a difference btw outright theft of funds n corruption. For him theft shd be classed as such (stealing). Corruption thus refers to a fraudulent process that makes one or another receive gains for which he ordinarily shouldn't, noting that such gain might not be immediately financial.

GEJ as 'clueless' as u term him was a better president. Yes, his only failing was giving a free hand to his 'friends' to loot. But if u consider the Nigerian kinda politics, I feel he did that to create a leverage for his re-election. Perhaps he wld hv been firmer if he won (we might never know). But GEJ was certainly not clueless...he wasn't an orator but he indeed had good ideas n pursued the right policies.

You can teach a man but you cannot give him understanding. The problem of black man is not learning but understanding.
