WARS ARE WAYS AMBITS REVOLVE. RELIGIOUS WARS ARE WARS FOR THE WAYS; THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. Whosoever finds Him finds REST, THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND ETERNAL LIFE. Good Christians know this and that includes Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Methodists, Baptists, Pentecostals, Puritans and all Protestants. Good Islamists, which includes Moslems and Muslims should know this because ISLAM is IS, LAMB, MAN of God, ISA GOD, ISLAM. ISLAM is Aramaic, not Arabic and not Hebrew either. In all of these, what gives cause for concern is ISIS, BOKOHARAM and now FULANI HERDSMEN INCURSION into other Territories. These Three are not seeking for The Way, The Truth and The Life. They are just fighting for nothing and so 100% satanic. The relevant WAR is authorized is The Preaching of Christ in St. Matthew's 13:24-52. Therefore, every Scribe(Prophets, Disciples and Apostles) which is instructed unto The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a Man that is a Householder which brings forth out of his Treasures Things new and old. It was a war of ideology; the catholics felt that the protestants were heretics,while the protestants saw the catholics as oppressive and hypocritic.
At a point,it became political,the pope had great influence and power over the thrones of most european kings,that power was being threatened by the growing protestant movement as some european rulers began to sway towards the protestants due to the desire of the royal families to reduce the powers of the pope in their territory.
Naturally,Rome responded rather violently and the protestants were motivated to take up arms too.
