Mynd44: He is the Sultan of Sokoto as well as the head of all Muslim bodies in Nigeria He either abdicate the post of the head of the supreme Muslum bodies or vacate the throne of sultan of sokoto. The Awujale and Alaafin do not head any religious bodies added to their hereditary title that has been even before the existence of Nigeria. 6 Likes |

i love the new rule. some pastors have turned to semi-gods in the name of leading the flocks. anyone who holds a position for up to 20 years should be relieved of their duties. be it a muslim head, christian or any NGO. by the way, most of the NGOs churches, mosques inclusive are making a hell of profit and in my opinion, they should be taxed. 1 Like |

Boleyndynasty2: Human life or should i say Nigerian Citizens' life has never worth much to the leaders...If this occurred in a developed nation, Nigerian leaders will send condolence....Your local celebrities will go on twitter and Facebook and say" their thought and prayers were with the victims and their families".....Your pastors will say the lord reveled it to them on a vision and a tape of it will resurface |

I can't believe this! Why are these so called Christians making the rest of we Christians to seem so ignorant? Is the present Sultan 20 years old as a spiritual or administrative head? Is the Sultan an administrative head of a denominational muslim group as in relation to heads of churches? Must we always cry out with sheer ignorance at everything? 2 Likes |

Jayceo: Can you furnish ur with a link Because some leaders of the churches went to court due to the regulation. Are you sayin between October 2016 and now they were able to get a verdict? You all manipulating this issue because of personal interest, God will punish you all. The only one indispensable in the church is God. Any other person can go and come. ckmayoca: yes ooo, prolong stay breeds narcissism and corruption. can you imagine? El zakzakky has built himself over the years to have formed a parallel government in Kaduna. as a result on holding unto power, CAC now has factions because Abiara has been there for 39 good years and not willing to relinquish power neither. Celestial church had leadership tussle too, before the rule, the children of the the founder of RCCG had started grumbling that it was time for Pastor Enoch Adeboye to leave. i also like that part of the law which says it must not be bequeathed to any member of the leader's family thus ruling out the family hereditary thing. on the other hand, in my opinion , i feel the leadership of the muslims should be rotational as is the case of CAN instead of leaving it permanently with the emir of sokoto. 1 Like |

The Sultan of Sokoto is a traditional leader (a monarch) and also the head of a religious body but here in the Yoruba land the likes of " Alaafin of Oyo, Ooni of Ife and Awujaale of Ijebu land are subjected only to there thrones and nothing else. So, what Reno has said should be looked into from my perspective. |
