While we commend the Vice President for the visit to gain first hand knowledge of the Niger-Delta, we also draw his attention to irreducible minimum requirement to kick start negotiation as demanded by Niger Delta Avengers NDA, the Niger-Delta Greenland Justice Mandate Movement, to wit
1) Sack of Gen Boroh from Amnesty Programme and replace him with Dr Felix Tuodolo. Gen Boroh lacks the psychological/cultural make-up to handle the Amnesty Programme.
2) freedom for Chief Tompolo, because from available facts he has not committed any crime for Government to hound him into hiding, rather the facts are failure of contractual agreement between his companies and the Federal Government and the failure on the part of Government.
3) Inclusion of boys from the 3rd Phase Amnesty programme, inclusion of over 2000 persons from the Itsekiri ethnic nationalities who fulfilled all Amnesty obligation. Similarly, the people from the frontline oil/gas producing area of Akwa-Ibom State who were glossed over must be added.
4) All pipeline surveillance must be handled by the communities.
These are some demand by the boys in the public domain before issues of Resource Control, enviromental remidiation etc etc can be discussed.
