"We are fighting for what the government said in 1994 [the first democratic elections]," Levy says as he fiddles with his pliers.

"People shall have all the resources free of charge. Water, electricity, schooling and health. After we have voted for them they have changed. It's not illegal."
grin  grin abeg more grease to his pliers jare grin  grin  Those politicians lied to the wrong crowd  cheesy
If you are one of the minority in Soweto who chooses to pay a bill and stay legal, your "reward" will be a 45% increase in your tariff for each of the next three years.
I bet pretty soon no one will be paying and Eskom will be placed in a very precarious position: forgo the payments entirely or cut off the entire place.

If this happens in Naija, no one will ever pay his bills.

Or reduce their monthly billing calculation thereby reducing their profit margins

But we all know thats not going to happen as the number one sole priority of any company such as eskom is returns to their Share holders.

All they have left of course is to lobby government to make this a criminal act punishable by crazy jail terms. The guys have already been arrested several times and no conviction or charges.
