Portsmouth Vs Man United [1 - 4] On Sat 28th Nov by Cristalz(f): 11:10am On Nov 27, 2009
Portsmouth welcome Manchester United to Fratton Park on Saturday afternoon.
Portsmouth currently own the bottom spot on the table with 7 points, while United are in second place with 28 points.

Portsmouth go into this encounter with a brand new manager.  .  .Mr. Avram Grant. Remains to be seen if he can change the club's dismal run so far this season under ex-manager Paul Hart.
In attack, expected names include Aruna Dindane, Danny Weber, Frederic Piquionne and Nwankwo Kanu. They haven't produced a lot of goals among them this season, but.  .  .Avram Grant could work some magic.
In midfield, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Michael Brown, Jamie O'Hara, Hassan Yebda and Aaron Mokoena are avaialble names. John Utaka and Papa Bouba-Diop have been out injured, but are expected to make it back for this match.
Portsmouth suffered a considerable blow with the loss of keeper David James who is out injured(calf muscle strain) and has no set return date still. Keeper Jamie Ashdown is set to deputize till James is able to return.
Defenders include Hermann Hreidarsson, Tal Ben-Haim, Younes Kaboul and others.
A win under a new manager will do a lot to boost Pompey's confidence ahead of the long, cold winter.

Manchester United have an opportunity to further close the 5-point gap between them and table-toppers Chelsea.
After their 3 - 0 win over Everton in their last Premiership game, it looks like Sir Alex is totally serious about catching up with and overtaking the current leaders.
In attack, Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen remain solidly available. Dimitar Berbatov returns from injury to give a boost as well. He should get a starting spot.  .  .remains to be seen how well he will do as he has been out of action for a while now.
United also welcome Ji-Sung Park back to the midfield. The Korean was given a warm-up opportunity on Wednesday in the UCL game against Besiktas.
The usual midfielders(with the exception of Hargreaves) are all available: Darren Fletcher, Michael Carrick, Nani, Valencia, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Anderson. Against Portsmouth, United can safely go with their usual free-flowing attacking style brand of football, bu they will need to proceed with caution as defensive worries exist. Going all out attack-mode in the middle is a bit risky at the moment.  .  .they will have to stay defense-minded as well.
Rio Ferdinand is still out injured in defense, as well as John O'Shea. Johnny Evans is back in training.  .  .he might get picked for this game. Nemanja Vidic, Wes Brown, Gary Neville, Patrice Evra are all good to play. Keeper Edwin Van Der Saar will be in goal.
A number of key players got a chance to rest during the week as they did not feature in United's UCL game against Besiktas, so there will be fresh legs on the pitch.

Can you believe that chance?? What's wrong with Brown and Vida? Letting Dindane go like that.
Re: Portsmouth Vs Man United [1 - 4] On Sat 28th Nov by Cristalz(f): 4:16pm On Nov 28, 2009
These guys have gotta help Kitkat, for Lawd's sake. Vida and Brown are sloppy.

See this Dindane, no respect. AG has given these boys some sorta drug.
Re: Portsmouth Vs Man United [1 - 4] On Sat 28th Nov by Cristalz(f): 4:20pm On Nov 28, 2009
Unbelievable! Lovely shot, Jamie O'Hara. Great save from Kitkat.
Seriously, what did AG do to these dudes? They're firing like it's their last chance ever to play football.
And our central defense is terrible. We're in serious danger of conceding first here.

Rooney needs more support. He is not the type to be point-man.
