Urgent recruitment in a multinational FMCG company for the position; Director (Head) of Sales.

Key Accountabilities include;

1. Lead to identify opportunities, establish goals and objectives and deliver business plan goals.

2.Establish accountability of team members and track/report results.

3. Formulation and implementation the sales policy of the business after all approvals.

4. Development and promotion of sales and distribution of the products in stable and emerging markets.

5. Regularly review Route to Market and Channel Strategy of the business to ensure relevance ad drive competitive advantage.

6. Customer retention and management for optimal performance and sustenance of the business.


7. Other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the management.


Job Conditions

Normal working periods ( 8am-5:30pm).

May be required to work on weekends.

Working to monthly, quarterly and annual targets; focus is largely on longer term strategic improvement.


Requirements

1. First degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant degrees from a reputable institution.

2. Possession of a Masters degree or MBA is preferred.

3. At least 8 years of relevant Sales management experience including;

5-7 years of broad indirect FMCG sales experience.

Customer management and retention.

4. Candidate must be between 32-45 years of age.


Desired Qualification/Preferred Competencies

The successful Candidate is required to have the following competencies:

Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent PC skills ( MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Communication and great negotiation skills.


Proven Leadership ability/People-Management skills

Sales Management/Advanced Selling skills

Excellent attention to details

Excellent Problem-solving/Analytical skills

Critical reasoning and thinking skills.

Creative idea generation and resourcefulness.

Data analysis and report proficiency with financial acumen.

Qualified Candidate will report to the Executive General manager.
