On friday, December 9, a Lagos state high court moved the case between MindHub Technologies and Nigerian music star D’banj to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) over a 100 million naira debt allegation.
The High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja Division, presided over by Justice Oyebanji, ruled that the case between the Nigerian singer and MindHub be moved to the dispute resolution platform where the two parties would try to settle the dispute by negotiation, mediation or other related means.
On November 16, 2016, D’banj was charged to court by the technology company for failing to pay over N100 million naira for the promotion of a concert organised by his media house, D’Kings Men Media LTD.
Documents released to press on the same date revealed that D’banj signed a memorandum of understanding with the technology company on October 19, 2012, and would be liable for the payment of the sums of money in the event of D’Kings Media failure to pay.
At the hearing on friday, D’banj’s lawyer asked the court to strike out his name from the suit, dismiss the suit or stay proceedings. The court, upon reading the facts of the case, ruled that there was a reasonable cause of action.
The judge also ruled that D’banj, could not be struck out of the suit as he had become involved personally when he signed a memorandum of understanding agreeing to re-pay the contract fee in case of any disputes or failure to fulfil the terms.
Days after the allegations, D’banj took to Twitter to slam reports that he was owing a 100 million.
According to him, “We did not borrow any money. The instigator of this is trying to eat his cake and have it.“ He also accused various media platforms of collecting a bribe to publish the ‘libellous’ article.

Peter Okoye, of the Psquare duo, just posted this photo of a lady wearing horrible make-up on Instagram and he asked his fans what name they would give the lady if she were an artist.
The artist went on to suggest he’ll name her Cynthia mud-face – a name which sounds almost like Cynthia Morgan. When you add that to the fact that the lady in the picture has red hair, same color of hair the reggae artist likes to wear – it almost seems as though he’s referring to his female colleague.
Note also that earlier this year, Peter had gone on a rant where he revealed that he was close to signing Cynthia Morgan to his record label, P-Classic, and had even given her the contract to go through, only for her to return it to him and went on to sign with his brother, Jude Okoye.

Star Boy Wizkid seems to have been stressed out over traveling and performing in almost every major concerts abroad. If you could remember he promised us a home coming concert this December were there won’t be any VIP tickets but all regular. Well it seems that won’t be happening anymore neither would we be seeing the star boy in any event this December till January according to him via a post he made on his Instagram page some minutes ago.
This comes in as a result of his doctors advice for him to try get some rest which surprisingly he is adhering to. For those close to star boy they would tell you it’s a strong decision to cut down all concerts in a time like this when he should be bagging millions of Naira. We can’t say which health issues he has currently but from the post we can say all is not well at the moment. Nigeria is blessed

Cambodia-based Nigerian footballer, Harrison Chinedu, has reportedly set a new Guinness World Record for distance (103.6 km) travelled on a bicycle with a ball on the head.

Chinedu was able to navigate the distance with the ball placed in the centre of his head.
Chinedu said:“This one is a record created by me and I’m happy that I have done my own side.
“It is left for the Guinness World Record to rectify it and and bring back the results.”
This is not the first time the Cambodia-based footballer has reportedly registered his name in the Guinness World Record.
In March 2016, the player reportedly set the record after walking from the Redemption campon the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, which is a total distance of 48.08km with a ball on his head.
However, checks on the Guinness World Record website (guinn essworldrecords.com) has shown that Chinedu’s achievements are yet to be registered. It was gathered that the records he reportedly set in March and November 2016 are not registered on the website.
