I later woke up from the couch on which i slept, stood up and dash into the bathroom to urinate.
Perhaps,when i left for the bathroom to urinate,i didnt looked towards the opposite direction of the television set. I just fled away hurriedly, because urine was about wetting my trouser.
I spent longtime in the bathroom to dress well. finally, i later returned back to the parlour, but by the time i intruded into the sitting room, i met the television and other component switch off...


"what..! My mother must have come in when i slept off !.", i silently uttered.


I adjusted towards the television and pressed the power button to switched it on.
I brough out the Spac
tacus carsset and slot it in the package. I later gazed at the wall clock opposite me. I was baffled sighting the time, because i thought it was time for school that very morning .
The time was just 3:59a.m early hour of the morning. I slowly went down on my knees to pray, and after concluding praying the 5minutes morning devotion, i rapidly stood up and dashed towards the corridor. Firstly, i decided entering my bedroom to dropped those carssets in my school bag. Thereafter , i walked into the dark corridor leading directing to the main door exit of house. I adjusted closer and held the door handle, pulled it against myself. I passed through it and landed outside the open square compound.
It was very dusty and cold freezing when i step outside. The weather confidition had rapidly changed. A Wonderful,Blissful, freezing cool day of the morning seems good. Breez blew so wildly when I picked up a sweeping tools (broom) to sweep and tidy the whole compound.
Just then, when i started sweeping the spot i stood, i heard sound of something falling down far away in the bush beside me. The thing bounced on the ground heavily, so i decided checking to see what type of thing, it is.
I quickly reached to where that particular thing fell. Perhap, nothing more fell, but a mangoes plugged itself and fell from it mango tree.

So i thought...


"wow! So this tree has finally produce ripe fruit. My lucky as already come",but am Still suprise o00o. What kind of fruit would have dropped so heavily ".


I spoked out openly without saying it to anyone,but to myself. I bent down and picked up five ripped mangoes into my trouser pocket. There were also unriped mangoes on the ground.
As i bent forward to pickup the last mango in front of me, suprisely and suddenly i could have nearly grabbed a big lazy sleeping snake which didnt moved.It seems like i was been cast to spell, i stood transfixed shaking and shivering faster. I shake uncontrolably when the snake swiftly creeped away . Lateron, i made a moved and slowly walked backwardly. When i had walked a far distance away from the snake,
I started shouting for mercy because the snake wasn't just...a big snake, rather it was a mighty ugly dreaded, irritating mix colour creeping animal called "PYTHON".


On seeing that, i didnt wait for a any prophet to say "that snake is dangerous", i just saw my to legs span in racing. I ran immediately and vacated that mango tree area without returning back again.


"00ooboi... Is That thing a satan itself,or what?",It was Python that gave Eve A forbidden Apple to eat.
Here appears a snake that looked the same with mangoes around it. Does that stinky scary animal, called "snake" came for a mission in order to deceive people with mangoes?", i barraged myself with too many silly questions which i had no answers for it.


I was scared when i began to imagine the same creature coming towards me, as i started sweeping the compound. lateron, the sun rise graduall as it starting brightening far up in the skies from the east.


I hurriedly completed sweeping the whole compound before entering the house prepare water for my shawer.


" prince be careful with that televison. You slept off leaving it without turning them off ". Pls, When next you feel like sleeping kindly off anything concerning electronics before going to bed, is that 0kay?"
my mother instructed and i nonded my head briefly.


"em... good morning my son", my mother greeted after complaining, while preparing for morning meal. She was actually arrangin some stuff like frying plantian, sweet potatos, yam and egg.


"morning mum", i greeted, as i shifted away from the kitchen door entrance.


I exhaled heavily, because i thought as much that, she didnt watch the Spactacus movie. Better still, if she had watched the Spactucus movie, she would interrogate me that early morning.
I prepared myself, ate my mornin breakfast. I washed those mangoes picked from the snake arena. I didnt tell my mother about what happen tho.., because if she gets to know about the fruit, she will throw my mangoes away.I entered my bedroom with the mangoes and kept them inside a black nylon in my school bag.
