Well, u know that there are several branches/specialization in information technology and to boost chances of landing a good job in Canada, its best to pursue certifications in your area of specialization. For example if you are into Networking, CCNA,Comptia will do fine, as a software engineer you will be getting certifications around the technologies you are conversant with like Java, .net, oracle , etc. Note, this are just to boost chances and not any form of guarantee, since certifications are just proof of knowledge.
