same professionalism metted on a cripple recently

seems our army has redefined professionalism
But the same army has court marshaled the errant soldiers now.

This is disappointing, Punch is also towing the line Vanguard in unprofessional journalism.
The council chief denied the death of anybody, yet Punch put it in the headline without finding out the deceased name and intervening her family.
They didn't even try to quote any source for their story, the writer just stated it as if he was an eye witness especially in that first paragraph.
Honestly the people carrying misinformation are doing as much damage by creating unnecessary anger and hate in people's minds which may lead to carnage in the future. Uganda is a typical example.
I condemn the soldiers act though if they really did what they did.

Zombie! Accept the truth and be free.

And we have a dying president who gives no hoot of the injustice being committed by the Nigerian Military against civilians. And the governor of Benue state can't lift a finger against the blood suckers killing his people? I expect the people of Benue state to ask their useless and incompetent governor to resign already. Shame on the Nigerian Military, Boko haram awaits them.

Nigerian Military fighting for Fulani herdsmen

The military wants to disarm The Agatu people so that Fulani herdsmen will wipe them off and steal their lands

Agatus must defend their homeland

Christians must rise up against Islamization and Fulanization of Nigeria

Buhari must go angry angry

Which one is the truth? An anonymous phone call from the villagers on one hand or the community chief in person of Mr. Mike Inalegwu and the army on the other?
SMH for your gullibility.

As usual the Nigerian Army is always so powerful in killing defenseless villages, unarmed protesters and beating up civilians.

When it is time to confront boko haram, other militaries, militants, the story will change to 'There was no air support, we don't have enough weapons, blablabla'

These goats even abandoned their positions, threw away their riffles and ran into a river where they drowned in droves just to escape from adavancing boko haram fighters.

What a shame. embarassed

How many wrong news have been on a national daily? It all boils down to the source of the story.
can't you see they fail to name even one of th so called killed villagers? including the alleged pregnant woman.
Mind you I believe soldiers can do (and have done) worst, but it's dangerous to broadcast wrong information like this because it will only escalate the problem.
The villagers stand to fain by aligning with security agents against the barbaric herdsmen that regularly attack their villages, but it will spell doom for them if they are exaggerating and killing soldiers. They will make two enemies for themselves, and no sane person would want that

The way we throw terms around in this country though. I mean, Genocide? Haba, this is a reprisal attack. You killed one of theirs, they killed six of your.

It is not the kind of behavior the army should engage in, especially against the citizens they are supposed to protect. If the report is true, then those involved need to be punished.

PUNCH is obviously sensationalizing to make sales here.
All sources they "named" denied the deaths or killings!
It is the unnamed sources that claimed the killings. No name, no picture, no evidence adduced to it other than unnamed sources.
Haba Punch!.

A soldier was killed and the military came in to maintain peace and recover it ammunition that was stolen from the dead soldier! that is all according to all the named sources even by the useless Punch that tends to suggest the killings!
