Expect Fulani attack in Agatu in weeks time. This is how they always do it. Before any Fulani attack, the Army go on a mission to disarm the natives to avoid any resistance to the Fulani forces when they attack. They did it in Agatu, Taraba, Niger, Kaduna and now they have their eyes back on Benue

1. 6,000 people were not killed in Agatu. Let's stop spreading falsehood.
2.It was very very wrong for Agatu youths to take laws into their hands to an extent of killing a soldier(soldiers).
3.It was wrong carrying their weapons after killing them.
In as much as we are against Ortom's plan to cede part of Agatu land(The river bank) to fulanis for cattle grazing, we should also condemn when they go wrong.
I knew there was going to be reprisal attack by the army and they didnt prove me wrong, knowing fully well that two wrongs don't make a right.

What is bad is bad

This idiot is yet to issue similar warning to Fulani miscreants killing and raping with impunity .

Over 6,000 people mostly women and children were killed in cold blood by the Fulani terrorists and those terrorists have now taken full control of Agatu and this idiotic brukutu shipping Tivi mumu is supporting the recent military massacre of his fellow citizens?

Dem swear for benue people?

Most of the guns are local guns. I guess they need them to defend themselves against invaders.

What exactly is falsehood? We're you in Mars when the Nigerian Army went to disarm some villages in Niger in a period of constant Fulani attack? They fought back and killed some soldiers but they were eventually disarmed. Why didn't the Army interested in disarming these villages under attack when they don't provide security?

Rubbish. Complete Rubbish. How many hours ultimatum did you give the blood sucking Fulani to produce those who attacked Agatu? Worst governor I ve seen in recent times, So Fulani don't have arms that you can seize Mr General? If you investigate well you ll discover that the army has been taking sides with the Fulani since they arrived that area. That killing might have been done out of frustration.

Agatu people lipsrsealed

Those Look like military weapons. Me, I don't fully trust naija police and milliraty. The Fulani man killed as we we're told was downed by knives or something of sort. No mentioned of gun used. How come now the suddenly have these weapons? But we never heard any Fulani attacked with such? Abi were they saving it for after life? This is the problem. We always ask why they sit and fold their arms and let Fulani kill them all. On the other hand, the government is the one disarming them and not even protecting them afterwards. If the killer Fulani men we're from Chad, why is government not protecting the citizens or allow them protect themselves? Me, I don't get it o.

dainformant:
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to militia operating in Agatu area of the state to surrender themselves to law enforcement agencies or face the consequences of their action. The Governor who received arms and ammunition recovered by the army in Agatu, was reacting to the recent attack on military personnel in the area which led to the killing of a soldier. He described the incident as unacceptable.

Governor Ortom restated the resolve of his administration to assist security agencies in identifying those behind the act to face justice and advised youths still in possession of illegal weapons to surrender such arms to the appropriate authorities.

He sympathized with the Chief of Army Staff over the murder of the soldier, assuring him of the State Government's support and commitment to the ongoing peace process.

Earlier, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Retired Colonel Edwin Jando presented the recovered weapons to the Governor, describing the feat as a result of the resilience of the military personnel deployed to the area.

Meanwhile, the Commander, 707 Special Brigade Forces, Makurdi, Brigadier General Clement Apere has stated that no house was destroyed nor lives lost during the military search operation in Oweto, Agatu local government area.

General Apere who stated this while briefing newsmen to clear the air on the operation, said the exercise was meant to apprehend armed militia who had killed a soldier and made away with his riffle. He maintained that the army obeyed rules of engagement during the operation.

The recovered weapons included two AK47 rifles, two SLR rifles, one fabricated pistol, three locally made pistols, live amunition, police and military kits, some charms and substance suspected to be Indian hemp.
